What do women mean when they say .....? Metaverseguy: They always say these lines: I WANT SOMETHING SERIOUS I WANT IT REAL I think that means they want something like marriage. How is it more real when they get legal system, judge, and lawyer involved? Why do they think guys want something serious rather than something fun. Metaverseguy: but alimony and child support only come from the court orders of people who truly don't care for each other lori100: not always....some men care and do want to support his ex. and kids like real men do.....some still care but split up and have different goals... Idonthaveausername: "I want something real" is so vague I can't see how one would make it a goal. In my personal opinion, marriage =/= realness. I'm seeking a life long companion who can be my best friend and my lover someone who cares and respects meme and we make a good team. My partner in crime. All of that takes time and years of getting to know one another which to me is very important. Signing papers and being legally married is one thing, having a emotional bond is another and you can definitely have the bond without being legally married. But that's just MY opinion and what I think. ^_^
wildrose62: I agree. I've never married and when I left my first "real relationship" after 25 years, it was a decision I would have made regardless of marriage status. My second partner, who I have known for 10 years, came to me out of two divorces and a lot of money issues related to that. But we love each other. For us, it got "serious" very quickly. We didn't want to be apart, but we gave it some time before we moved in together. Not every woman will mean the same thing when they talk about "being serious" and "wanting something real". Some will mean they want something long term and with some modicum of financial security. But for others, like me, financial security is my own responsibility - I do not expect a partner to provide that for me. The relationship is all about the connection to the person, being at ease with them, having fun with them, having those private jokes that only the two of you understand - and being in a relationship where you can be yourself and not what the other person expects you to be changed into. Life is short - if a woman tells you those things - ask her what that means to her - communication is the key, if you have to second guess someone all the time, then it's just not right. Metaverseguy: Over 100 years of feminism. If women want financial security they should enter a career where women can earn high salaries like lawyer, or doctor. A lot of men don't even go to college and are poor. Besides most women don't even take up traditional roles. You start talking about cooking or cleaning and they will accuse you of rape and never return your calls. If they expect men to help with finances they should help too. But it doesn't work that way. It wouldn't work that way anyways most living arrangements both the man and the woman have to work to pay bills. sdandrew007: women, mean no..is no.....i believe if a woman wants to touch you..she will...it's a feeling of being safe in the person arms, she about to give herself to........ Metaverseguy: I think I finally figured out how to use these dating apps. All the profiles say they want something serious and long-term so I went on a date last week, and gave her something serious and long-term. I just hope she's happy with herpes. | Dating Chat Room Similar Conversations |
