Alpha male or nice guy?

BigBadWolfe: Most women say they want to meet a nice guy type,but end up with an Alpha male type,so why is this,and whats wrong with nice guys?.

lori100: a strong, assertive man is exciting, sexy, though not always kind, caring. As women mature they want a caring partner, not just an exciting, dangerous type of guy. If a guy is too nice, not assertive enough, it is a turn off. I knew a guy who did not defend me when others were insulting me, I had to practically demand he defend me like a man. I got tired of him being too shy , passive, wanted a nice guy who is assertive at the right times, takes charge when the situation calls for it.

BigBadWolfe: I think I'm that kind of a guy.Generally I'm nice and polite,but when push comes to shove,I've had to defend myself or my ex-wife and had to tell so called Alpha males at my work to fuck off a few times.Even a woman at work,being too bitchy and bossy.The 2 words "fuck off;,said very aggressively did the trick.I can be an Alpha or a nice guy,depending on what the situation calls for.I just don't like it when 90'sof the women on dating sites say they want a good hearted nice guy type,but really want an Alpha male who mainly treat them like shit.So one or the other,make up your mind lady and TRULY state your preferance.

BigBadWolfe: I don't know this internet thig basically is an unrealistic world where you can say and do what you want,and hopefully Miss or Mr. Right will come along some day.In my situation the kind of women I want,don't want me,and the kind of women that wan't me: I don't want them.So you just keep plugging away and hope for the best.

Comrade_: Perhaps you should lower your expectations.
Most women don't know what they want (they will say that they do, but they'll do the opposite, I guess this is human behaviour as we men do it also), but don't be the Alpha male nor the nice guy, be your fucking self and the woman who is worth it will come along.

medic17: I agree with Jack. I prefer a man who is real...not one who bases who he is on what he thinks I might like.

Hyenablood: it doesn't have to be 'nice guy or alpha jerk ' there are loads of guys of all diffrent types out there. Friendly, plesant, well-mannered, jerk, loser, whatever. My point is that women usually end up meeting or dating alot of diffrent guys. Just like guys date a lot of diffrent women.
Classifying men and women into 'catigories' doesn't work, it seems like there are only 2 types but you are wrong, there are lots and lots of diffrent types out there.

BigBadWolfe: I guess your right,but its usually categorized in to two types.For men its Alpha male or nice guy.For women its nice girl or bad girl.Sure theres lots of "in betweeners",but thats usually the two main types for men or women.

lightsmoke: I don't think it has to be one or the other. A guy can be the "alpha male" type and still be a "nice guy". I agree with Hyenablood when she says classifying men and women into categories doesn't work. But even if you think you can fit all men into of those categories asking that question is like asking "hot or cold?" and the answer will always be "it depends!". Because it depends on a million contexts and a billion factors.
