Is the art of courting/seduction dead?

valleypixie
valleypixie: Maybe I'm a little old-fashioned (or just old), but I wonder if people 'woo' each other any more?
It seems if a man doesn't think he'll get into your pants easily and soon, he wont make an effort.
I would like to know I'm worth a little effort, but I've been single for along time so I wonder if men still know how to pursue (not the same as stalking!) a woman, I like to know I'll be appreciated once I 'give in'.
Have we killed the art of flirting and seduction with our PC-ness??

Comrade_: hmm I don't know about other guys but it isn't dead to me. Personally I like the hunt and adrenaline than to have it given to me easy, a back and forth play of wit.

A mentally stimulation before physical stimulation. Even if it doesn't end as planned.

MechaArya: Honestly the ones that just give up after a cheesy line and a wink are simply NOT WORTH IT!! For both men and women. When my (now) boyfriend first meet me, we had both just gotten out of long relationships and we had just chatted a little bit (he had come into the store i worked in at the time) and a few months later he had came back and started to "woo" me and after a couple of hours of him hanging around and making it obvious that he wanted to ask me out we exchanged numbers and basically went from there. It was very [quote unquote] "old school" but I loved it. It showed that he was a real gentlemen and wasn't just looking for a one night stand.
Side note: before I met him I had flirted with a few other guys and they turned out to be A) an ass hole or B) wanting a one night stand or worst c) Both

So, pixie its OK that you are old-fashioned but the ones that take the time to properly court you are the ones worth keeping around :3
