First Book you Ever Read (Page 7) Mr Meddle, which was a very old book about a naughty man who went to a party and, while the magician wasn't looking, took his magic wand and made three wishes, one for lots of chocolate, one for new pair of shoes and I can't remember what the third wish was (I was about 7 or 8 yrs at the time - oh so long ago). The chocolate tasted like salt, the shoes got tighter and tighter, and i can't remember what the third thing was. In the end he had to go to the magician to get the spells reversed. The moral of the story was not to be like Mr Meddle and take things that don't belong to you. I can't remember what the third thing was. After the elementary age books, Clan of the Cave Bear was my first and alternated with Night Shift...lol omg haha. Wwell, that might be a book for kids , for the first age. Wwell, the first novel I have read has been a novel of Alexandre Dumas father. I still love it but I can't understand this serie " The three musketeers": I do not like it at all. Pretty sure it was Dick and Jane I remember reading Moccasin Trail in second grade- I honestly don't remember the story line or anything- but I remember loving it and not being able to put it down, and not wanting to read 'little kid books' anymore lol I remember watching and reading Charlotte's Web. I have no idea what books I read at a younger age. No memories. Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing & Superfudge (both by Judy Blume).....had to do a book report on both books in the 5th grade. (Edited by Chops_______) If you ignore the obvious kid books (Seuss, Grimm fairy tales, etc), the first adult book i remember reading at a young age was "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" by Robert Heinlein. | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
