scionschild_
scionschild_: Impossible to pick a favorite!

Pull of the Moon; The Giver; The Help; Shogun; Lord of the Rings series; Diary of a Fairy Godmother; Tale of Two Cities; Perfume (agreed Sweet Girl -- not for everyone but VERY original fiction); Pope Joan; The Red Tent; DaVinci Code; Cry to Heaven (my favorite Ann Rice work and no vampires involved, rather about the castrati singers); Illusions; Mists of Avalon... -- wow...so much good stuff out there!!!

I'm a medium brow reader/lover of great fiction and a great story!!!

NC2991: I have 2 favourite books. "Miracle In The Andes" by Nando Parrado is an excellant first person story of the plane crash in the Andes in 1972

"Lost Moon" is a first person account of the Apollo 13 story by James Lovell, the commander of Apollo 13. It was also the basis for the movie Apollo 13 by Ron Howard.
