WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK?
wildpeaches: Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. I freakin love how this guy writes characters. A very organic writer.
Also, I really enjoyed Harry Potter...don't judge!! They are entertaining, touching and a great read for the bus or plane. Also, I just love the idea of having a school for magic.
joehalasy: I can't pick one. Either "Lord Jim" or "Nostromo", both by Joseph Conrad. I suppose it's what every good writer does. He puts his characters in difficult, challenging positions, physically and morally, and you feel them struggle to do right. And I find while reading, I suddenly shout, WOW! and have to read a paragraph again. It's just this incredibly perfect combination of words, that paints an image in my mind.
"Fighting for Life, Anorexia-The road to recovery" written by Melinda Hutchings. I relate to it that's why.
Entropy: East of Eden, by Stienbeck. Then there's "Life of Pi," by Martel and "God is not Great" by Hitchens.
jjasmine: The Bridges of Madison County + the writing of Robert Fulghum (now - THIS man I would surely love to meet )
HPs? , hell yeah - anytime!
Pseyer: "Salme ved reisens slutt" by Erik Fosnes Hansen. A Norwegian - cant remember the english title so type it in google and yeah, well; get it.
Courteny: I pretty much read anything but my fav's are "Host", Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and Thrall series by C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp
