aknighttoremember: As a young adult I liked Twain (Huck Finn, and Tom Sawyer), Jack London's "Call of the Wild", "Swiss Family Robinson" (can't remember the author's name). As a young child I remember liking "Little Bear" and "Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel".
