Tasya Lova: I've ever read Stephen King's previous novel, 'Dreamcatcher'..but based on what i see,the novel is way better than the movie adaptation.

rubysmom
rubysmom: I have way too many authors and books too, but to start John Irving, Russell Banks, Richard Russo, Margaret Atwood,Carson McCullers, Fitzgerald (F Scott - Great Gatsby of course) D.H. Lawrence, Poisonwood Bible (and a couple others but not all of Barbara Kingsolver), Water for Elephants (only one I read by Sara Gruen), Joyce Carol Oates, Carol Shields, Anne Tyler and Jane Smiley (on the fence with those two), Elizabeth Berg, Larry McCurtry (some), Carl Haissen, Jane Hamilton, Thomas Berg...it does go on, sorry to put you through that, but if any of this strikes a chord with you, please SHARE with me some others, maybe be my friend?? I'm running out of authors and since I'm using the library so I have my limits.

This is a link to a site I found sort of helpful - if you like (author), you might like....

Black Dog Rising
Black Dog Rising: I love Daniel Marion Mitchell. His stuff is over-the-top. He's got a free book on Kindle that describes a murder that allegedly took place in 2002. Very disturbing. http://www.amazon.com/Black-Dog-Rising-Girlfriend-ebook/dp/B005ZNJGWU

Nathaniel Nirvana
Nathaniel Nirvana: Anne Rice is a very luxuriant writer. With her novels you never have to 'try' the images are just there, totally unbidden. Most good books are a little slice of alternate reality, hers are a whole 'world unto itself' (which is one of her sayings, lol) Although her latest series (Angeltime) I feel lacks something.
