The Dumbest and Tiresome Book U Had Ever Read? (Page 7) Coffrey: The Holy Bible slow pacing, no central characters, the only true central character is abominable and unidentifiable. and so many plot holes, they're so big I can drive Ra's chariot through them Mz Demeanor: Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger. I'd heard so much of it being such a great book and was very, very disappointed. I read it twice just to make sure I hadn't misjudged it. Came to the same conclusion the second time: a book about a whiny, sniveling rich kid. slasian: Okey it is your call but I happened to read that book also and how about the mood it creates, it is almost like a movie, Salinger knows how to create mood. But I respect your call. Mz Demeanor: I can concur that he did well at creating a mood. It was like a black and white movie. I can't imagine any colour in his life. I felt like I was there in Holden's pitiful life and I really wanted to smack him upside the head. Mz Demeanor: Yes, it did succeed in giving me that touchy mood and also the mood that I'll never get those hours I spent reading it back. The good thing was that the book only cost me 10 cents. Mz Demeanor: Sorry. Just telling it like it is. On a good note, I purchased 2 other 10-cent books on that day that I did enjoy reading but that would be for another forum. I have another book to mention as a "tiresome" book: Life by Keith Richards. It was worth a read but very tiresome. slasian: The da vinci code is not boring! It could be dumbest but from the very definition of boring, it is by far an exciting book, yes it could be dumbest. slasian: Dumb and boring are different things in the right brains but if Farwuq thinks "The da vinci code. Boring..." Farwuq is right. Hey Farwuq is the name the king of Saudi Arabia? Farwuq: But dumb and boring are different things............ It's a wonder why more people do not pay attention to WHAT people say.......... It IS boring,...... AND DUMB,........... kind of like slasian. slasian: So we know how good you are in this vocabulary I bet you didn't even understand the title Why don't you fly a kite. If Farwuq thinks he is right farwuq is right. The Bishop: Stephen Kings skeleton crew, I couldnt wait til I finshed the book the whole way through it. I never like giving up on a novel so I stick with it and theres been others i wasnt a huge fan of but that was probably the first really b oring one I've ever read.
Farwuq: slasian: So we know how good you are in this vocabulary I bet you didn't even understand the title Why don't you fly a kite. If Farwuq thinks he is right farwuq is right. 1 day ago • Report I bet you're still in pre-school, learning what the word "title" even means. And your mother invited me over for "kite flying", but we ended up doing something else....... Anyway, the point is we both had a good time...... Well, at least SHE did.... And thanx for admitting that "Farwuq thinks he is right; And is ALWAYS right..... Ask your mom. (Post deleted by Farwuq ) | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
