My cat won't stop sneezing

ginger_megz
ginger_megz: Both my cat and dog have skin allergies, which cost me a fortune in vet bills. The cat is older and has had skin problem for years. He started sneezing a few years ago in short bursts and it seems to be a lot more frequent (every 20 minutes or so).
The cat is on a slow release steroid treatment and prescription diet. They both are in/outdoors throughout the day and indoors at night. My question is can anyone suggest a treatment that has proven successful in treating this type of allergy? I've also just started to give the cat a small amount of anti-histamine to see if this will help. They are both treated for fleas and mites regularly. I suspect it may be a dust allergy

ak_arctic_rose: My mother's cat sneezes, the vet told her he was allergic to her smoking! Also certain house hold chemicals can cause allergies.

ginger_megz: yeah I guess it could be any number of things. very hard to pinpoint. I suspect its something like dust and/or some type of plant. I don't use a lot of chemicals when the pets are around, but I guess they could be extra sensitive to products I use tho. Thanks
