With regards to minimum feeding input, minimum growth period prior to reaching maturity and most profitable when sold, for its meat and other usable products? Aussiekitty: l think the pig cause its ready to go in 6 to 8 weeks and they are more prolific breeders and greater yield and they require less acreidge  magnusalexrawstron: Shed Chickens are the most profitable and the kindest to the environment, but birds we rear for food have less life than any other farmed animal, so i dont eat birds.
