Kingmastermine: who said i wasnt cool pilgrim pilgrim look at all the comments he has posted telling me i have a massive ego i told him plenty of times i dont so every time he says i have one he gets that message
pilgrim each has their own way of training and my philosophy is use ur fighting knowledge only to defend yourself u know i asked 30 instructors i asked them if i chose to train with one person and not a class and on my own and slowly obtain that fighting style i been creating for defence and choose not to be taught by a instructor until i get mine more linked togeather, all their answers were you can do what you want if you feel you wanna train and as long as i dont go out looking for fights and just practice it for defence like i am doing it is a wonderful thing and they said they wanna see some things i come up with, i also asked if it would be good to learn bits and pieces of other forms and combine them with mine they said yes please do i told them i wont train in a class though ill invite people who have that training to a training session to help me out on it i got yes do that it sounds like u know what your doing and u are very passionate about it and we would love to see your form aspire and grow as we see your abilites grow and learn so dont stop what your doing continue with that and know how to respect others that respect you

Kingmastermine: jean has shown me no respect , pilgrim u have shown respect so i bow to you for that one out of 3 u are considered a martial artist to me and i am one as just cuz im doing my own form and my own way dose not mean im not look up what is martial arts or ask your instructor then get back to me jean cannot answer cuz he shows no respect and just tries to mock me and provoke a fight or negative responses that is not being a martial artist by any means just look at his posts on here all of them and u have no idea how calm i am these are just words who said i wasnt laughing at them oh yea cuz i am and how come if im so not calm how is it my heartbeat will only raise if i run long periods of distances ???? cuz im calm and practice staying calm

battousaism: What more do any of you gain from this senseless conversation? Tell me Aarondelo, why do you feel a need to defend yourself? If I was some awesome martial artist, I'd left this thread laughing from day one. No need to prove something to a stranger.

And Jean, I bet you are a good martial artist. Aarondelo won't change so don't even try. Its not like he's going use whatever skill (or lack thereof) in a real fight so there is no point of this argument.
No need to prove to someone how well you can fight.

Martial arts in today's realm is for either sport, self defense (a rarity), and fitness. Not to make you feel better so you could argue how good you are with words that are being typed over a computer...

JeanYves72: Just because you say you don't have an ego does not mean you don't. You ever think that these instructors are just being polite? Humoring you. You have called me a rapist and paedophile and you say you have control. You have no idea what me, Spiritual Master and Pilgrim12 have been trying to tell you. So busy telling us how good you are without seeing the point of what we are saying. That is ego. That is immaturity. That shows just how sorry you really are and always will be if you continue with this way of thought.

Blondie: Can I say I like UFC in this thread? or am I asking for a flying head kick.....
No seriously guys, I have recently been hooked on watching UFC on cable....I am intrigued by the skills that are learnt to place someone under submission. It is amazing...I was able to watch the 100 most greatest fights the other day and my jaw dropped watching a fight with Hoise Gracie (sorry for misspelling it if I did).

D a r n e l l: most practical martial arts would have to be muai thai kick boxing, krav maga, and kung foo..these martial arts will teach you the necessary techniques to disable and opponent or enemy...and disable him fast and brutally

JeanYves72: Muai Thai is great for close in so best way is to keep distance.Kung Fu is an amazing art yet relies a little too much on complicated kata and techniques, yet beautifully efficient against a similar style. Krav Maga was created during WW2 and is brutally efficient and designed with survival against a modern attack in a realistic manner. Most effective of these I feel.

battousaism: Most effective "martial art" would be Navy Seal Training . Aside from that what do you guys feel about Kali/Modern Arnis? I'm also thinking Jeet Kune Do from a legit instructor. And has anyone considered good ol' boxing? That would be a martial art very applicable in a real world situation in my opinion.

I feel that most martial art places in the US have "watered down" versions of martial arts.

JeanYves72: The combat orientated arts where it is designed for modern combat would be I agree. I think with any style it is more based on the instructor and student rather than the particular style most of the time. Even though there are systems that appear to be more tournament, sport of heath based.
