TheodoreSetsFire: Slipknot, Lamb of God, Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, Arch Enemy, underOATH, and other bands like that. irish84: for sure! even 20 yrs ago lol gotta love the glamrock days. to all metal heads, how the f%@y can anyone like Slipknot that much???? they suck! same sound all the time, 9 members and that's their sound???? i guess seeing them live makes up for it! irish84: all bands do have a unique sound, but what slipknot doesn't do is change parts of it. all the bands i listen to, which is alot, have a different sound on every album but they keep their uniqueness. slipknot has the same sound on every album and they don't change it up to keep up with today's genres. They're a mix of Sepultura and Pantera. They have 1 album so far called Tribalcore Leaders! SLAYPAUL: SLAYER...SLAYER...SLAYER...! are tops, followed closely by VENOM, MERCYFUL FATE/KING DIAMOND, early METALLICA, classics like MAIDEN, PRIEST, DIO, SODOM, PANTERA, SEPULTURA, TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX (mosh anyone?) NU METAL SUCKS!!! Psychosocial:  Nu metal...what?! Damn,I guess some people just don't get it... KoRn & SlipKnoT all the way! SLAYPAUL: Turntables don't belong in metal, there dude! The way I look at it this: I grew up with the heavy weights of metal so the bar of my metal standards is set way high. You could kinda say I got spoiled by the best (SLAYER). Sure, bands have come and gone but the big boys still remain. I just saw Judas Priest 2 weeks ago here in Toronto and they f%#z~&' tore up that night like you wouldn't believe, man. They still got it! Now if Nu Metal bands could come close to the overall show and performance, I'd give them their due. Until then.........Great to hear from ya, dude! CHEERS.
