gimme d name of a romantic movie that really describes what love is carebear01: THE NOTEBOOK, has to be the most romantic and beautifull movies i have ever seen, my friends and i have very different taste in movies but this is one that we all agree on.  techno_hedonist: Believe it or not, I would have to say it was a particular scene in The Hours which really sticks out in my mind. I was watching it when I was quite depressed and the scene where Virginia (Nicole Kidman) is trying to get on a train to go to London because she thinks it will make her depression go away really stuck with me. Her husband, Leonard (Stephen Dillane) confronts her and describes the pains he has gone through trying to help Virginia recover, to which Virginia replies that no one can understand her and she will never recover (I'm paraphrasing here obviously). The exchange between the two of them really reminded me of the arguments I was having with my boyfriend at the time. Seeing it displayed on the screen like that made me appreciate what he was going through and the efforts he was making to help me feel better. Like Leonard, he was doing all of this out of love. Like Virginia, I couldn't see that. The movie was a real turning point in my depression actually. I became significantly more depressed after the movie but I was also far more willing to accept help.  shehzada: Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na is another great hindi movie which is the story of two friends who gradually (and unexpectedly) fall in love.  flamingogirl: well i can't decide cos i, myself, don't even know what true love is.. but i think a movie that shows honesty of what we feel is P.S.
