So.. anyone seen any good movies latley? t-rivv: Sin City RULES!!! I've been looking forward to it for soo long, and it lived up to everything it shoulda Literally used the book as a storyboard, you couldn't have gotten more exact to the source material, it was genius! Braden: Yea the origonal writer was co-director or something like that. Rodriguez had to quit the directors guild to make that happen; that's pretty cool of him if you ask me. t-rivv: No kidding! I didn't know about the guild thing, but Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller (the author) made that movie hand-in-hand. Tarantino appeared in the credits as a "guest director", whatever that REALLY means. I think it just really interested him so he visited set a few times and gave his input. And when has Tarantinos name on a film ever done wrong?? t-rivv: Sin City is a series of graphic novels (book of comics to the layman, or non-dorks) Frank Miller wrote a while ago. It was black&white and spanned quite a few stories, exactly how many I'm not sure. The movie covers three of these stories. I won't go into exactly what happens, but know that it is utterly sick and twisted, and brilliantly saddistic. t-rivv: CAST LIST! Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Clive Owen, Nick Stahl, Elijah Wood, Rosario Dawson, Benicio Del Toro, Brittany Murphy, Michael Clarke Duncan, Josh Hartnett, Michael Madsen, Alexis Bledel...that's pretty much everyone with a considerable name, but HOLY c**p! Two severed thumbs WAY UP! angrylildwarf: well sin city was a good movie for the first 3 hours of it but then after the 9nth hour i honestly got kindof boared sorry, after the seen at the tar pits the movie could of ended and i would have been happy with it.... and kung foo hustle is the best! Im looking forward to seeing corpse bride in september it should be fun.....sorry big tim buton fan. yah! j: I'VE SEEN IT TWICE OK??? ITS TIGHT AND I BOUGHT THE DVD...ITS AWESOME!!! U GUYS SHOULD SEE 4 BROTHERS 2.. : ) t-rivv:
Saw is an EXCELLENT movie

Originally a 30 minute short, it was picked up by Fox Searchlight and made into a feature. The guy who's stuck in the room with Cary Elwes is actually the director of the film, Darren Lynn Bousman. Saw 2 is currently in post production, slated for release October 28th, 2005.
Jessica123: 4 brothers was a very well made movie awsome ending awsome actors. If you havent seen it take some time and some money and watch it. great movie up2knight: Anyone seen anything original recently. I'm happy enough to watch anything but could do with a really good ending- bored of the same old plot twists- could do with something at any end of the emotion spectrum. philosophical_guy: in response to up2knight: Click was completely original, and as for the emotional spectrum, it's the only movie that made me cry every time, even if I tell myself I'm not going to, minutes before I do. you should see it, seriously! ChatterBoxing: There are a lot of good movies around.. Man of the Year, starring Robin Williams is a great movie for the times today. It's about a comedian ( played by Williams) runs for US President. While a creator of the polling system finds a flaw in the program she helps create. I would suggest this movie to all who love movies. well worth the time.
Aikay: Mr Bean's Holiday. Its mint. I fallen off the chair while watching it in the cinema and dropped all my pepcorn. Beware - hold your food tight while watching it !!! LOL <(*-*)> ringrust: I just was Shrek the 3rd the other day & it was just as good as the other 2, perhaps a little better than the 2nd.

I'm hoping to go see Pirates 3 in the next few weeks, already saw Spiderman 3 -- wasn't as good as the 2nd movie, I believe that was my favourite of the 3. Can't wait for Fantastic 4, big silver surfer fan! Also Transformers looks like it could be good as well, though I'm not sure how I'm gonna like the robot forms, having grown up with the cartoons.

Anywho, considering I have 200 DVDs in my collection, chances are I have something that some1 in here'll like! Let's chat!
Alf(red): Not so sure about Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but I can assure that Transformers will kick ass. I heard Ocean's 13 was pretty good as well. Has anyone seen KungFu Hustle<----- good movie. Stephen Chow is a genius.

| Movies Chat Room 3 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
