Manga shyness????!! (Page 2) silliness: i read manga alot and i have some friends who read it and who dont like it i am fairly shy if i dont know someone but that doesn't mean i wont try to make new friends and when i talk to someone about a certain manga i am not shy anymore and i could talk for hours  SuperDonPatch: I love manga and I'm not a shy person , but most people i go to conventions with are , maybe because we live in a closed society that looks down on manga/comic book readers . I guess in a few more years when it gets more acceptance it'll be OK ; I remember when i was a little kid gamers (video games) were stereotyped as shy and antisocial too .  otakugurl: I'm an otaku , some of my friends get shy when browsing at bookstores , not my case , but that's because some people make fun of them ; but that's because people usually make fun of something they ignore , or considered not cool ; but then again , these people probably can't read .
