Well Piercing has become extremely popular over the past few years and there are many parts of the body that can be pierced. Many Punks who decide to get their bodies pierced aren’t even aware of the possible consequences...! Now guyz listen carfully..! Never min! If you are considering piercing your tongue, lip or check consider these facts first: This procedure can present considerable dental and medical risks. The dental dangers may be directly related to size of the piercing and the length of time worn Procedure-related risks: Infection: is a possibility with any opening in skin or oral tissues. Since the mouth is teeming with bacteria, oral piercing carries a high potential for infection at the site of the piercing. Handling the jewelry once it has been placed increases the chances of developing an infection. Prolonged bleeding: can occur when damage is done to the tongue's blood vessels. Swelling and possible nerve damage: Swelling is a common symptom experienced after oral piercing. Since the tongue is in constant motion it can slow and complicate the healing process. It has been reported that some swelling due to tongue piercing have been serious enough to block the airway. Blood borne disease transmission: of hepatitis B, C, D and G, and syphilis. Tetanus and tuberculosis are also a risk. The Institutes of Health has identified piercing as a possible route for the transmission of hepatitis. Blood poisoning, toxic shock, septicemia, tetanus, AIDS, staph infections and sexually transmissible disease can be associated with oral piercing.** Endocarditis: is a serious inflammation of the heart valves or tissues. The wound created during oral piercing provides an opportunity for oral bacteria to enter the bloodstream, where it can travel to the heart. This presents a risk for people who have cardiac abnormalities. Still if u guyz want Do....it..! Muhama... I LOVE BUNNY...BT I DONT LOVE DUSTBUNNY..! AMurderDivine: 1let1... What"s up...Dee how can hep be transmitted by piercings???? 1 Hepatitis – What is it? Hepatitis simply means inflammation of the liver. Hepatitis can be caused through a number of viruses, excessive use of drugs and/ or alcohol, or through an auto-immune response. Hep C is a "blood borne" virus which means it can be transmitted when infected blood ... use reputable body piercing and tattooing If u r having body piercing, tattooing, electrolysis or acupuncture,etc.. make sure the piercing tools or needlez used have not been used on anyone else and are sterile. A body piercing can be a possible transmission route for hepatitis C. After a new piercing on the genitals, s@~ should be avoided for at least one week after piercing and no body fluids should come in contact with the piercing until it is completely healed. A new body piercing will take at least 4 - 8 weeks to completely heal. After this time, great care should be taken not to injure the piercing as the presence of blood can result in transmission. ‘Blood Thanx ***Muhma*** 1let1: haha.... Hey Special take it easy...! End of story. ♥Dee♥: All I can say is that all the piercings plus the tattoo that I have gotten have never created a problem... I am still clean (no diseases) and didn't get the slightest infection from any of them... Apart from the pain when getting the lip piercing done that is... But I didn't cry!!!! I'm tuff damn it... The original bar through my lip was a bit annoying, and I had to be careful not to bite on it when I was "eating" ermm food yeah...
