TEA or COFFE? (Page 25)

tbulb
tbulb: on occasion I stand in front of my cupboard, staring at the coffee and tea, unable to make a decision--coffee or tea? And, if I decide tea, then the next question is: which tea? ARRRGHHHH!!!!!

Corwin: If coffee isn't bitter, it doesn't contain very much caffeine... that's how the bitter taste grows on you, through association.

Lot's of things are like that... beer for instance... let's face it - beer tastes like dog-pee mixed with bile, as if it had been drank by someone else and regurgitated back into the bottle... if there wasn't alcohol in it, would anybody really drink that stuff?

Wild__: Alcohol is an acquired taste.

When I first tried Guinness Extra Stout I was repulsed as I had been raised on (stealing my dad's) Budweiser. But as a young adult (still not of legal drinking age) I started drinking beer with flavour such as ales, I expanded my horizons, and I now love a good Guinness Extra Stout.

And coffee, lets face it, most youngsters start drinking coffee with cream and sugar to kill the bitter flavor. But in time we acquire the taste for straight coffee.

regardless of your taste...

uglybetty1: personally, I am not a beer/stout drinker but I recall that when i was pregnant that my mom gave me this concoction...to keep up my strength. It was 1 Guiness stout with some evaporated milk and a raw egg!!! I actually drank it without hesitation. However, as I just wrote out the ingredients....all that I thought about doing was to ...BARF, BARF, BARF!!!!!!!! UGH!

Corwin: Actually, Starbucks isn't expensive if you just order a normal cup of coffee... it's all that fancy-shmancy frothy stuff and moch-cappa-frappa-whatnot that hikes up the price.

And Starbucks coffee has a real kick that'll put hair on your chest.... probably not to be recommended for the ladies.

Corwin: Ooooh... that sounds good. The closest Starbucks is about an hour away from me, but the next time I'm there I'll try that for sure... I love apple cider.

Wild__: Starbucks is really cheap when you know the barista.

I go to Starbucks a lot just to get internet access, in fact I'm at one right now. As much as I cringe at the idea of drinking decaf, I have been known to buy a tiny cup of decaf just to surf the net.

uglybetty1: Trust me Corwin....you will not be disaappointed in that drink I have also chilled in Starbucks doing schoolwork....but like Wildmann says, gotta buy a lil something somethingn & that is how i discovered the apple drink. The coffee just did not grab me...

Corwin: Especially if you were going to drink more than one cup while chillin... even just one of their smallest coffees is about as much caffeine as I can handle.

Oh, and hey... you use the real spelling of my name... I like that.
