Favourite Author and Favourite Book Oliverina2: My favourite book is Odos Avisou Arithmos 0,it`s a Greek book and the writer is called Menelaos Lountemis,i adore him.He is very immediate,romantic,realistic,easy way of writing and he says things as they are,doesn`t overeact as many do in a stupid way.  cairnsmama: Without a doubt it would have to be Janet Evanovich. Her Stephenie Plum series is fast paced and hilarious.  aimar48: We have a smart poet (Mahmoud Darweesh) he use a phelosophy in his poems. I hope you can to read his translated books, sice his books translated for 5 languages.  dreamygirl: hum... my fav autor is danielle steel... her books are soooo reviting and takes u places u only imagin Angeladc: it`s hard to say..but one of my favorite books is The Brave New World by Aldoux Huxley or Dear and Glorious Physician by Taylor Caldwell... There are much more.....  Highway: Brave New World is a great read and I would recommend it to anyone!! Aldous Huxley is an extremely gifted author and his life is truly stranger than fiction....Soma anyone Highway: My favorite book would have to be On The Road by Jack kerouac. Jack kerouac was a beat writer who along with Allen Ginsberg, Neal Cassidy, and William Burroughs started a movement known as the Beat Generation. All four of these men appear in On The Road under different names. Many wonderful works were created by these men, especially Jack and Allen. They are all talented writers and are all worth taking a look at.  MissTrissy: Up until the 15th of Dec last Year J.K.Rowling was my favourite author.. in my opion your never to old to culr up with a good fantasy and get absorbed in it. i've read all the book and only need 4 more to complete the series. At the moment though i am thoroughly enjoy Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series Book 1: Twilight Book 2: New Moon Book 3: Eclips Book 4: Breaking Dawn I have barely been able to put the books down with my urgency to get to the ending whatever kind of outcome it has. SPOLER ALERT SPOILER ALERT these books are fantasy as i would classify them but others may have different opinions, please feel free to comment. Thereis also speculation that's she is going to write a 5th in the series but who knows she has another cool oen out called the Host, her vivid imagination and the way she captures both your imagination and your emotions at the same time makes for a very captivating read.  joshabingdon: favorite author is ted dekker, all his books are so suspenseful i can't put them down till i'm done, and the endings always surprise me. book is breaking dawn by stephenie meyer, waaaaaayyyyyyy too many reasons why, best book ever!!! ChrisCaper: I would have to say The Art of War by Sun Tzu. I know sounds crazy and i didnt think the book would be for me when i picked it up at the book store. I would recommend anyone taking a look if you have ever been curious about people, competition, advantage or personal management. TransparentEchoes: I have a variety of favourite authors, but, for the moment; JD Robb. She has a way with capturing the reader from the very sentence of her books. She's brilliant. favourite books of the moment are the 'In Death' series by J.D Robb. Kalla: Sir Arthur C. Clarke "The City and the Stars" - set billions of years in the future, and focuses on the last city on Earth, where its inhabitants have achieved an almost 'immortal' state. He wrote the Pulitzer Prize winning memoir "Angela's Ashes" about his childhood growing up poor in Ireland. He continued with "Tis and "Teacher Man". All three are good books worthy of a read.
