Some of the weirdest books u hav read.. Arjun: hey people.. i am new to this club and would like to start of with a fun topic sometimes authors tend to take complicated subjects too fast that it ends up kinda weird tell me some books of that sort.. i start the list with "marbury lens" by andrew smith which was kinda weird.. it was an awesome book in the end but weird none the less... Lets get weird people.. NameAbductedByAliens: "stark" by ben elton it's a little hard to get into at first, but try keep with it there are some really funny scenes (the kind that are 'so wrong they are funny'...like the resturant scene where one of the rich dudes orders swan) there are unlikeable characters which makes it a little hard to stick with...serious topic (global warming)...weird plot...makes for a wacky/weird book if you can stick with it, it gets better as you go... in a weird kind of way Arjun: hey.. NameAbductedByAliens.. stark seems to be an interestin read.. i will make sure to check it out.. Thnx buddy.. ava_california: The characters in Carl Hiaasen novels are often weird. Cartoonish in fact, but it is fun reading. Sick Puppy was best seller. Kiwimum: The most weirdiest book that i have read was "Rats" can't remember who the author was but it really weird and creepy. Kiwimum: In all honesty ....i can't remember as i read it years and years ago. But it was a book that you couldn't put down. I carried it with me everywhere. I just had to read the ending. wolfssoul420: Weirdest books i have read is Stardust,American Gods, and i cant remember the title of the third i left it back home but they are by Niel Grammen(think the spelling is right) Ashlind: A House Named Brazil... Not weird in an obscure way, just not a common story at all. I think its strange Perdurabo: Cows by Matthew Stokoe Forget Bret Easton Ellis, Poppy Z Brite, and Dennis Cooper. That's kid's stuff. If you want something truly repellent, try this. 'Cows is probably the most deranged and warped novel you will ever read. It is thoroughly revolting on every level from the language and violence to the beastiality, sexual violence and eating of faeces. That said, it is also a highly original and unforgettable work by quite possibly the most disturbed author on Earth.' Bytr: Dunes by Herbert, Frank i believe. The do not have any in the public library here. I may have to purchse. | Books Chat Room 1 Person Chatting Similar Conversations |
