TY for the birthday wish. teddy_ro: Three score years and ten has now come to an end, nothing to show and now more years to go for a milestone event! teddy_ro: Pet story 07/10/2022 4 Cats 2 Dogs and Fish and all get along very well, at certain times of the day all fur balls get treats, the pups get theirs, Flynn, Sis's white Chihuahua is jealous, in that if a fur ball other than he is getting some attention, he'll be there pawing away at your hand to get some too! Also he's more a hoarder and stirrer, being able to jump on and off the beds, couches with ease, as such he goes high with his treats where my girl can't reach and get them, so he can have them all to himself and holds on to his treats, waiting until Zoe,my little Pomeranian who is so small that a single 6inch step is an almost an unclimbable obstacle and need to be assisted, and a Sofa or couch is definitely a mountain to her, has finished her treats and then in front of her proceeds to eat his! Today Flynn collected a few and was on the couch guarding them as he does, I had to go shopping and Zoe usually waits for me near the door, as I prepared to leave, she followed me as usual as I asked Sis, if she wanted anything? Zoe noticed Flynn guarding his horde of treats on the outside couch, I left, not long after that, Sis relayed the the events to me when I returned! Zoe came to the couch asking to be picked up, Sis thinking she needed a cuddle because I'd left her behind, picked her up and had her on her lap, patting her, of course Flynn had to get in on the act, abandoning his horde, coming over for a pat, Zoe immediately moved and grabbed all the treats in her mouth, jumping off the couch, hearing Sis's words “not yours!”and made a quick retreat, mouth bulging with treats! Not returning till I returned and was told the story! Patients can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink or talk to their loved ones. There will be people who will scroll by this message because Dementia or Alzheimer's has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has fought or is fighting a battle against Dementia or Alzheimer's. Is truly hard. teddy_ro: Here's a good one for you, I've always had a Notepad file called Words, where if I've found something interesting or a specific word, I'd go into it and store it there for use in the future, I heard a comment on TV and decided I'd store it, couldn't find my file, finally did in the recycle bin as I put my mouse pointer over the file, it came up and said, this file infringes on our name and has been deleted! Luckily I found when I did! This not the first time things like this have happened, other time functionality start to play up, but I save and restart my system before it goes to blue screen of death loosing all! teddy_ro: Today hasn't been a good day here! A young lass entered didn’t say “hi” but came out “nobody likes me” I looked at her profile, 35, wearing glasses, as I read her feed, I saw she was depressed and have seen this before and those outcomes weren't good, the chat moved so fast that she disappeared in type and couldn't find her name and no one else seemed to read her call for Help or even looked at what she said in or her feed! I hope she's OK, but will never know and am too far away to help in anyway! The only reason I writing this it might high lite, that this can occur and to be aware that lonely and depressed people do come to chat rooms for help and can in fact have it turn into the last straw! teddy_ro: Story of the kittens, we had a cat Mally, a friend of ours had a cat that had a litter of kittens, she asked if we would like one? Sis and I decided one each, anyway 3 arrived for us to choose from all cute 2 little fur balls and one short hair, all cute! For a week we watched, fed and played with them, Mally wasn't interested in them, but we believe her nose was out of joint thinking that she was being replaced! Decisions? Decisions? We liked all three and they were bonded to each other, playing and getting into mischief together, it was follow the leader and Mally became their focus of attention, wherever she was they weren't far behind, luckily they couldn't climb yet, so Mally chose high vantage points from which to observe the three munch kins who wanted to get close to her! The kittens all slept together in a small bed. Anyway came time to choose, all had names Sam the ginger long hair, Mishka also a long hair but Black, with gold stripes and small gold dots all over and finally Leo who looked like a Lion cub, colour and all! After a while Mally realised she wasn't being replaced and accepted them, but she ruled over them and they fell into line, Mishka for some reason just wanted to be close to her and followed Mally where ever she went! Getting told off when she broke the personal boundary space with Mally! I chose Mishka and Sis chose Sam, leaving Leo, but we couldn't break up the set, not knowing where Leo would finish up? So he stayed, never any regrets from us! Being there were dogs also in our home, a form of mutual respect formed and if things went too far, one of the fur balls would inform whoever of such, Sam, became Sam the man and the slug but also was the big brother for his habit of just lounging around anywhere, he preferred to lie instead of sit. and had the habit of patting the behind of any of the others that came into reach from his prone position! So the household consists of myself and sis, two dogs and four cat plus some fish in an Aquarium! All the fish have names which Sis gave them! teddy_ro: Yesterday 13 Sept2022, we had Thunderstorms here and my baby as pictured in my profile picture was scared, and was on my sister in laws bed, Sis has an open window policy in her room with steel grate across it, this means that the cats can view outside any time they want, Sam the slug, called that because of his way of never sitting but adopting a prone position wherever he is, was laying and watching the weather outside when the storm occurred, I was asleep and my baby fur ball needed comforting, not being able to get my attention she went to the next available person Sis, who picked her up and placed her on the bed, Sam saw that Zoey was frightened and left his position on the window and walked over the Sister with a look of concern on his face and comforted Zoey by cleaning her ears, as if saying “it's OK, nothing to be scared of! Laying beside her and curled around her until the thunderstorm was over. If people took the time to observe their pets, they'd be amazed at what they'd see! teddy_ro: This happened on the 31Aug22, Wednesday, After waking up came into the kitchen, seeing feathers on the floor, on examination Dove feather! Not long later I heard a flutter and a rattle and saw one of my felines on the other side of the large lounge window,stalking, she jumped and the Dove on this side of the glass was startled and flew landing on the Cats play box, I walked slowly over and ever so slowly picked it up, blowing on it's face, I have a bird cage just for these circumstance, grabbing a clean face washer wrapped the Dove in it and put it in the cage, mixed some sugar in water and gave it some, examining it saw some superficial wound, it was more shock affected than injuries! Took the cage outside on to the veranda and placed a cover over it, this got the attention of the other feline and they had to investigate, Flynn the Pure white long haired Chihuahua acted as the body guard, keeping the feline at a distance! After about 10 minutes, remove the cover and examined the bird again, it was alive slightly injured and lost some feather mainly down that it would be loosing shortly as the weather warms! It was moving around and seeing a feline it flapped it's wing, this activity alerted all the feline and an audience gather to watch the little birdie, Flynn became the usher, taking a position between the cats and bird, and if they approached a growl, the bird was active now and time to let it go, took it into the back yard followed by an entourage, placed the cage on the ground so it could re-orientate itself and left Flynn to guard it, this was mainly to settle the bird in the cage and also to alert the Doves that were watching from their vantage point! After 10 minutes opened the cage door, the Dove flew out and strait to the tall tree, hope that's the last I see of it, having learned a lesson to always be on guard! Flynn got a treat for his effort! The cats their normal meal of fresh meat at feed time, The fresh meat does curtail their hunting activities, but a real live toy does get jumped on! And brought home in tact to be released inside the house as a play thing. teddy_ro: Pet story of the day 27 Aug2022, I have my little girl, a Pomeranian named, Zoe, and my sister in law a pure white Chihuahua, named , Flynn,my little one hasn't been well today, not long a go, was feed time and tonight it's was sis's turn to feed, my little one, Zoe, alias, Princess Wiggle butt and the vacuum cleaner! Flynn and Zoe get along very well! The vacuum cleaner was not her usual self and didn't touch her food, any way both were put on Sis's bed and decided to give them both a special treat “Ice cream”, usually Zoe is into it so fast that Flynn can miss out! Watching out the corner of her eye she placed the ice cream in front of Flynn and turned her attention back to the TV still observing them indirectly, if you directly watch both, they are aloft, but indirectly you see interesting things, they both love ice cream! Fynn went over to Zoe gave her a kiss then went over to the ice cream in a small plastic bowl, picked it up and place it in front of Zoe to eat! If you watch them and they know they don't do those things! Zoe left some for him normally she would scoff the lot! So now their both relaxing on the bed. And you hear people say it's only a Dog, we still haven't learnt the intricacies of animal life and to see it and be able to relate for all to see and learn, for “it's not only ?”, it's AMAZING sometimes. adamdale148: When I hear the words from someone “It's only”, to me it means they don't give a Sh*t about that object or what it represents to me! I hate loaning out things! I I borough something I threat as if I've paid a very large deposit to use or whatever and will treat it as it belonged to me no matter what it is and will return it in the same or better condition! Everyone has things that mean much to them but to others there may not see the value, monetary, personal, nostalgic or hidden value of the object itself? Myself I would ask and if need be research it! When I knew what it was and means, then I could comment! Here I'll give you an example from a movie, the 9th Gate and Johnny Depp plays an unscrupulous second hand book dealer who profits from victims who don't know the value of the books! You can't comment on something without knowing, you can't say you dislike something if you've never tried, after trying it you can comment! How can you say I hate Ice cream if you never even tried it, But you hear all the time about all different thing! It's just a way of saying never tried and either too scared or up themelves to admit they haven't, so the comment! I'm happier if they said I'm too afraid to go Sky diving than that' I hate it'!

Food in the oven for the oldest one,a rest after all that stress, sit down and a face at the window do I see, becconning for me to come and let her in, Up I get and go to the door, call her name and she finally wanders in, food out of the over on her bench, Finally all done!
