Do you have any other ideas? Please share. @cute-spark @Oliver @Xilan @v3x xilan: 爱 for love, and it is visually a nice Chinese character, I think One of my friends recently had a 家 tattooed on her body in Shanghai as well. Meaning "family" or "home". Some people also tattoo some Chinese idioms, but you have to be ready to accept several characters on your body. Can have more meaning than a simple character though, and be closer to what you want to express. But if you are in Shanghai, I would definitely recommand you to ask Chinese friends (not too traditional, better with people with an open mind) to help you out with this. Looking forward to seeing the result! Good luck! Menthe in reply to xilan: Cheers Man, for sharing your IDEAS. I know the character 爱. But it somehow sounds vulgar. I want to get something cool and special. My colleague wanted to put 勇 symbol of braveness onto her hips, but tattooist gave her 英( I tease her 英 is symbol for England while she is from northern Ireland) in Kunshan. It's scary to have wrong Kanji on your body, isn't it? I'll go with Chinese friends for dead centainty. First I have to find a "Light hand tattoos" in shanghai before Chirstmas. |
