I mean Mo Farah is double Gold Olympic champion from the London Olympics 2012, dont they do actual research in some of the US media or is it that if their foreign they just don't care to know or just ignorant of the facts!!!. View all 5 posts lavendar_star in reply to bright_light101: Nice to see you again and yes Mo is G8 British lol but your right about reporters, also do you know what happened to Norma? she has gone , hope she is OK and if you have contact tell her hello. lavendar_star in reply to bright_light101: Same here, maybe she was tired in having to defend Islam and Muslims, from some of this site who love to generalise,, she really nice n intelligent young woman, I'm sure she is OK too. lavendar_star: This is the one stolen from the people of wood green, London from the Pound land store. I hope he does one in South London. Him_over_there in reply to lavendar_star: Thank you [lavendar_star]. I must say I quite like the new image of the 'Nun' which replaces that lacerated space where Banksy's little boy once laboured. But how quickly; how opportunistically these artists act to place their own works in the glare of camera. lavendar_star: Soul Sisters, there's documentary coming on telly in a min about Dusty Springfield UK's own soul sister who was popular and respected both sides of the Atlantic. YouTube Another soul legend lavendar_star: She refused to play to segregated audiences in South Africa could she be any cooler, she was gay or bisexual too in a time when it was not acceptable so had to be firmly in the closet but bravely came out must been hard for her. She is so fab. Great documentary. lavendar_star: How Hackers Changed the World We Are Legion. A great documentary which I watched on BBC4 mainly about the group anonymous and how they came to be but also about Hacktivism generally. I have to say I am now bit of a fan of them now, especially after they went up against the power house that is Scientology n some racist shock jock in the US. If you can find and watch it online its another good documentary from the BBC. View all 16 posts DanCaumo: sebtheanimal, not only China, not only Russia, any big country nowadays has their own hackers trying to get informations from other countries and big corporations, it's like internet soldiers, there are many interests in all the information that circulates in the many diferent intranets and particular webs inside the internet, many of those that have the circulation forbidden for the public. Even the biggest corporations have theirs. The fact is that now is not only the matter of fact of hacktivism, it's for institutional interets as for defense/protection/security. lavendar_star: This song n video gives me joke plus it has a good message n the rapper is quite cute too. I'm guessing thrift shop is a charity/ 2nd hand shop as we Brits would call it. lavendar_star: Some say the UK has gone to the dogs and now we are being feed like dogs lol. Horse meat found in Tesco supermarket's 26 % and other supermarkets own brand beefburgers and traces of pork DNA found by Irish FSA in the UK and Ireland. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/ireland-horse-dna-found-beef-burgers-203106586.html I haven't brought beefburgers for ages thankfully. I know they eat horse meat in Europe but not here and people should know what they are buying, the Irish meat plants where the products came from are claiming innocents and mostly likely accident or on purpose it come from Europe. View all 4 posts GeraldTheGnome: False advertising of what the meat is deserves a class action law suit in itself. I saw that there have been at least two other examples like it over your way. lavendar_star: Gosh there was a helicopter crash 10 min from where I live, 2 people have died about 8 this morning, It's tail hit a crane on a very tall building under construction in Vauxhall near a main bridge by the River Thames which takes people from South London to the rest of London. It went down and crashed in a ball of flames in the road. The area is major junction into the center of London. When I saw it on news it was shocking by when they mentioned where it happened next to my local supermarket down the road it was more shocking. Apparently there is a helicopter base (which why I always see helicopters flying above my flat) in Battersea. I live off the main road and one direction is towards Vauxhall where the accident happened and the other way is Battersea. I'm happy I wasnt out this morning because that's my normal travel route it must of been scary for all the witness who saw it something out of Hollywood movie but its not entertainment. terrible saw for family of the victims. View all 11 posts lavendar_star: Thanks guys and girls, A poor by stander probably off to work got killed and obviously the pilot too, who was very experienced and had appeared in Hollywood movies as stunt pilot, fate I guess as Jack put it does make you think of your own mortality. Here's photos for you Casa http://uk.news.yahoo.com/photos/helicopter-crash-in-london-slideshow/fire-at-the-scene-of-the-helicopter-crash-in-vauxhall-london-tom-avis-tom-avis-rex-features-photo-1133379778.html. I would have to be ahead of CNN considering I'm Londoner and I live locally, I think this first type of accident of this nature to ever happen in London, I'm surprised it got international attention but then we are global city, I bet most people thought it was possibly terrorists at the scene after what happened couple years go with the London bombing. Anyway.stay safe peeps. |
