SOMETHING ABOUT Early Autumn

after reading this short story , i was touched by it. now let me tell something about Early Autumn, and something about my feelings.

Bill and Mary were lovers when they were young.but they broke up because of something unimportant.in my daily life , i often quarrel with my parents about something not very important. each time after quarreling, i was regretful. i just cannot help doing it. i know i think to much about myself .i am always complaining why they can not understand me, why they give me so much pressure, why they always want to make me do something i don't like. so i quarrel with them ,because i know they will always forgive me, tolerate me. i know i am a little selfish. so what i don't know is that they try to teach me ,help me from their experience and make me live more comfortable.

after broke up, Mary and Bill lost connection and they both married to other one else . many years later ,they met by chance on Washington Square, late afternoon. Mary recognize Bill, but bill didn't at first sight. they had a short conversation. both of them have a good occupation and high class status,Bill is a lawyer, nice firm ,way downtown, and Mary works in the bursar' office, live on Central Park.both of them try to say that without you i live very well. Bill hold her hand instead kissing when Mary lifted her face unconsciously. bill grinned when he was talking about his family, while Mary avoided talking about her husband.when Mary asked Bill to visit her house Bill said "anytime". is "anytime" a kind of rejection. then Mary felt cold ,both physically and psychologically. that's because she was sad about Bill's polite answers and the not very intimate relationship.she was sorry that she is not young any more while Bill is still young. she was upset about her unhappy family life while Bill seemed to enjoy his life. under the trees in Washington Square, she desperately found herself reaching back into the past. tear in eyes.

finally came the bus, Mary had go. for she ,many words unsaid, the bus door separates them again. she shrieked very loudly " good bye" ,hoping Bill could hear. at last ,she lost sight of Bill and she suddenly realized that she didn't tell him her address and forgot to ask his, and she also forgot to tell Bill that her youngest son was named Bill too.

the story finished. the attitude towards first love between man and woman is apparently different. for Bill ,he just remember Mary . but for Mary , she remember deeply and cherish the love between them . so she recognizes Bill first and wants to meet again. man is always realistic by nature, while woman is always emotional and nostalgic. what if Mary and Bill get together again,though that seems impossible. problems and conflicts between them can not be avoided. so that 's life .women always wonder the life they don't get. so maybe this story wants to tell us that life is not perfect, may we cherish the things we own.
and also women stop being the weaker one in love. don' t looking back ,love the one you should.
