Asking for buying GoldCard for chatting Radhika Ramani: For my friend when he changed the location from one country to another country, all sudden it is not allowing to chat or seek help and getting the following message "We were unable to find a sponsorship option in your region. You can use Wireclub without a sponsor by getting Wireclub Gold. If you know of a sponsor in your region, please contact us." Earlier also it happend so. At that time it was told that there is some problem in the software and the administration will take it up and it was fixed later. I request to fix the problem again which is occuring for some again.  Owen: Hi, This means that your friend lives in an area which has a high level of internet traffic but offers very little revenue to help keep the website up and alive. Unfortunately it does cost quite a bit of money to keep a site like this one up, though there is only webpages here on Wireclub and not so many services which streams a high level of data (like cam or voice chat), it all adds up when a couple thousand users are clicking on things around the website at the same time. Curious to know the average amount of download/upload data the servers puts out on a daily basis actually! But I bet it would easily be in the gigabyte(s). Unfortunately wireclub gold is required in order for them to use some sections of the site. Radhika Ramani: How come others in the same vicinity, like me could chat without Gold Card membership? Not only me and many others have no Gold card but able to chat in the same area, same city. Obviously it is something else and not related to sponsorship. |
