wireclub memory drain

BlueOlive2
BlueOlive2: Ok I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but every time I come on wire my cpu usage goes sky high..something is sucking up my memory here.is anyone else having this problem..I have checked it out on other sites..it's here ..it uses 3 times as much CPU usage as Facebook and that is just sitting on home page doing nothing and the commit charge just keeps rising ..so much so that finally I get a low virtual memory warning..this has been happening a while..whats up?

calybonos: Beats me.
Sometimes, after being on Wireclub, I wake up in a strange bed with virtually no memory at all.

lostnthenight: What browser are you using? If you are using firefox it tends to use alot of memory.
Try wire with a different browser and see if you are getting the same issue.

Robot Seb: Chrome does that on any site. Try switching to Mozilla Firefox and it should help.

BlueOlive2: Seb I hate to say but it never did before it just started about a week ago..I go on the home page here and the cpu sometimes goes to 75% . its out of hand and strange..maybe it is something with my computer I don't know but I go to other places and it doesn't run that high..so I guess I will stay off wire as much as I can

Robot Seb: Chrome automatically updates every once in a while. It did just release a new version which is probably why. Anytime there is an issue with browsers, try using another one. If it happens on the other browser also, its the service thats acting up. If it's only 1 browser but not the other thats acting funny, its the browser thats acting up.

Owen: I guess chrome might use a lot of the CPU if your computer is slow

I've been running chrome for years without a hassle. My best bet is your browser is clogged of plugins, extension and probably could use a general cache clean.

Every time I give someone remote assistance these days, 9 out of 10 times they've got malware and other viruses. And their virus scanner is out of date/needs paying for.

And 9/10 times they're all infected with the search protect malware/virus.

Download malware bytes anti malware and ad-aware if you don't have a working virus scanner (both are free and very effective) and uninstall any current virus scanner that's asking you to pay for it.
