Remembering Pills

LiptonCambell: Any suggestions? my girlfriend seems to forget once a week- She has a reminder on her phone, i have a reminder on my phone to remind her how she ignored her reminder, her picture on her phone is "take your pills"- and i might sometimes randomly bring it up.

I'm at a loss. It's dangerous for her to miss these freakin' things....I'm open to any suggestions....

LiptonCambell: Oh, and yes, she has one of those pillbox things....it's handy to know when she missed, but doesn't really ensure she takes them....

Aura: She might have them scheduled at a time that is not really convenient for her, maybe moving the time she takes them a couple of hours will get better results. There must be something she does everyday at the same time no matter what. That could be the time she should take them and they should be stored near where she does it.
And if that means she needs to take the pills while having her bowel movement, then so be it.

DEEP_acheleg: I have tried tying my medicine dosings to regular, reoccurring events. problem I have is that im not unknown to go more than a day without a meal, or several days without sleep. I KNOW my pills may not seem comparable to her pills, but the logic should relate- I always assume that I missed a dose some time in the last few days and take extra measures- just in case.

Outbackjack: I know a lot of elderly people keep them at the side of their bed next to their clock radio and make sure they are visible in a pill box.That way when they wake up in the morning they have their pills and eat breakfast and in the evening before bed take the next lot if required.

if your talking about medication for some health problem.. point to your two's little darling and suggest that he doesn't deserve to be cheated out having her in his life because she refused to take her meds..
