How to convince my parents to let me be an exchange student?

xanderiley: You could show you're mature enough to follow rules and be responsible.
Since we are not talking about university, you're at least still in high school, which means you're under eighteen (assuming you haven't been held back a grade or two), which means you're under 18, which means you shouldn't be on Wireclub.

xanderiley: Oh yeah, while you're improving yourself, you'd better do something about that temper, and your impulsiveness.
You're not in the schoolyard any more.
You want people to trust you with special privledges, you'd better start acting mature, and staying that way.
A tantrum like that won't get you sent anywhere but your room without supper.
I can't imagine your folks would let you off the tether while they're still legally responsible for your actions.
My sympathies to your parents.
