Fascinating New Insights about Mars (Page 2)

ghostgeek: Maybe NASA was playing a joke. Oh look, perhaps they said, "I wonder how long it will take for some nut to say there's a face on Mars?" Well we know the answer to that one. Not very long.

LiptonCambell: "On July 25, 1976, it captured the image of a pile of rocks that greatly resembled a human face. When NASA released the photograph almost a week later, they described it as a "huge rock formation in the center [of the photo], which resembled a
human head."

It's not like they didn't notice it, Lori. They turned to the press and pointed it out to them.

You may want to just have fun and make shit up and assume it's the truth, but real facts are done through study, not through pulling things out of your ass.

It didn't go down like your revisionist history, where NASA didn't notice it- they noticed it, and told the press about it.

Why would they? Either NASA isn't keeping the truth from you, or NASA is, and showing you the face is part of their controlling you- and you're playing into your hands.

LiptonCambell: I'll comment on those just after you admit you were just talking out your ass and making shit up, rather than actually doing the research on NASA and their very public press conferences..

NASA was not oblivious to that mountain range looked like a face...hell, they probably milked it to get more funding...

LiptonCambell said " Actually, if you are legitimately interested in this topic, then aliens shouldn't be in here at all. "

So you have excluded many things from what you see already!!

And you want to convince us that it is not out your penile fear that you write the things you do!

lori100: Author Richard Hoagland interview on his book "Dark Mission...."------about face on Mars and other structures there....--------------'-It wasn‟t a trick of light and shadow. Where you do the actual complete processing, it‟s a stunningly symmetrical statue a mile and a half long and a half a mile high. We‟ve had umpteen images now; we've had other independent computerized enhancements of the various data.
There‟s 3D modeling, there‟s stereo, there‟s shape form shading, there‟s all kinds of analysis and all of it, by the way, performed by us outside NASA. NASA has ignored and simply told everybody it's nonsense, just go away, go away. Gosh, NASA says that, amazing!--------------------------------We found Mariner 9 images of other interesting things that were discussed. Carl Sagan in “Cosmos” talked about the pyramids of Elysium. They‟re these huge several miles wide tetrahedral pyramids located halfway around the planet from Cydonia.'--------------'-Well, the first thing we show in Dark Mission is that‟s a lie. NASA is not a civilian space agency. It's a military space agency. It was always formed under the fiat and control of the National Security Council, Department of Defense, any of the intel agencies. All of its data that are viewed as not appropriate for the public knowledge or concern can be classified. Even from its own people.'

lori100: In his 1980 book Cosmos, Carl Sagan shows this picture in the chapter Blues for a Red Planet with the image caption "The Pyramids of Elysium". In that paragraph he wrote about a large rover mission which would be of high public interest as live TV-picture would be send to Earth when the rover visits these pyramids. In a footnoote on that page he wrote:

The largest Mars Pyramids have a base width of 3km and a height of 1km, so they are much larger than the Pyramids of Sumer, Egypt and Mexico. With the ancient eroded shape, they could be small hills, sandblasted for centuries, but they need to be viewed from nearby.

cjn6980: Water on Mars exists today almost exclusively as ice, with a small amount present in the atmosphere as vapour.[1] The only place where water ice is visible at the surface is at the north polar ice cap.[2] However, abundant water ice is also present beneath the permanent carbon dioxide ice cap at the Martian south pole and in the shallow subsurface at more temperate latitudes.[3][4][5][6] More than five million cubic kilometers of ice have been identified at or near the surface of modern Mars, enough to cover the whole planet to a depth of 35 meters.[7] Even more ice is likely to be locked away in the deep subsurface.[8]

Well, yeah!

" Water on Mars exists today almost exclusively as ice,..." You should read the bit about the Antarctic base in
Topic: Science

if you are questioning the reasons behind some of Wikis posts you are being successful.

NASA has clearly shown that the ice caps advance and recede with the seasons, although it didn't want to say that.

I don't think encouraging some members to argue about authority is useful.

Corwin: @Lori --- Carl Sagan wrote that book in 1980, and even though he highly doubted that those hills were pyramids, he is a hopeless optimist and though they warranted a closer look.
And we did that already.
Since then we have taken much higher resolution photos of the Mars surface. There aren't any pyramids on Mars. Just as when we first took a close look at Mars we didn't find any "canals" that Percival Lowell thought he was seeing through his crude telescope.

And that BS "remote viewer" sees million-year-old pyramids on Mars because that's what he wants to see.
And also, this is the "Science Forum".... remote-viewing is hardly scientific.

Believing that remote-viewing is real is what's insane.
