Multiverse: Is it just a theory? Or is it real? (Page 9) Corwin: Okay, but seeing how this is a Science thread, to discuss scientific theory, the sort of thing that theorists do know, then perhaps what Out of Body Travelers know isn't really relevant to the discussion. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to post those comments in your Out Of Body Experiences thread. ---> Topic: Religion Then we could reserve this thread for discussion on the topic posted in the title. calybonos: William of Ockham slits his wrists with his razor, and throws his bloodied hands in the air. (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) calybonos: It's a popular theory Multiple dimensions/universes would mean multiple orgasms. I might be having one right now, and the upside is, I don't have to worry about the wet spot. (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) Corwin: Do you not see the blatant contradiction in that statement? Multiverse Theory can be expressed mathematically... there are no numbers or figures you can scribble onto a blackboard that mathematically express the existence of ghosts or any other paranormal "phenomenon". If you can even use the word "phenomenon"... that word implies that there is something to observe, but for some reason these "phenomenon" never seem to happen when the eyes of Science are watching. (Edited by Corwin) (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) Corwin: A "theory" is still a model used to "explain" something, whether proven or not. There are no scientific "theories" regarding the paranormal. Therefor "theoretical Physics" and the "paranormal" are hardly the same thing. ------------------ But you know this... we all know that you only post comments regarding the paranormal here in the Science Forums as your way of trolling. Engaging in a legitimate scientific discussion is hardly your intention. (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) Corwin: That's merely a little bit of light-hearted comic relief, Lori, intended to provoke a chuckle or two from the readers... and you know that as well. If you read Wire's Rules you will see that that sort of thing is welcomed, and is not considered trolling behavior. Trolling is when the comments are posted with the intention of annoying people, or to intentionally crap in the thread out of disrespect. You have already stated more than once about your dislike for "science-minded" people, and that your intentions when you post in the Science threads is merely for the sake of trying to get our shorts in a bunch. You gave up your game a long time ago, Lori... and frankly, it's getting a bit old. (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) calybonos: I know the feeling. When my alarm clock goes off in the morning I don't care if I graduate or not, I'm calling in sick with an astral ache. Corwin: I suppose that Lori should be reminded again that "out of body traveling" and Multiverse Theory (which is based in Quantum Physics and String Theory) has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER. Perhaps it would be more appropriate for her to post such paranormal comments in her Out Of Body Experiences thread. ---> Topic: Religion (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) Corwin: No.... it's not the same thing... not even a little bit the same thing... and you know this. You're just annoyed that nobody visits your bat-shit crazy threads, so you have to come into a legitimate Science thread and take a big steamy crap on it. (Post deleted by DawnGurl ) pro_chatter_smash: human consciousness and human science will only ever allow us to see such a small percentage of what truly is going on around us. Corwin: So how do you calculate this percentage, if the greater percentage of stuff going on is something we can't see? Corwin: The skies are filled with invisible flying unicorns.... we just can't see them because they're invisible. | Science Chat Room 2 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
