Corwin: Actually, Science necessitates the exclusion of God. Science involves the study of observable phenomenon... since God, or a "God-effect", cannot be observed, measured, or studied in any way, Science must exclude God as an explanation for anything whatsoever.

Although there are scientists with religious beliefs.... but any one of them will tell you that they have to leave God at the door before they enter the lab. Putting God into the equations only leads to bad Science.

near50ohoh: um covin you speak for all believers who are scientists now? actually if they didn't believe the absence of something was proof how did they come up with anything to do with black holes or absence of light (or dark) calculations? sometimes absence of something draws more inquiry than presence does. and since we're discussing multiverses of all things, dude seriously? so they what travelled through each and every person's multiverse themselves and replicated the findings across peers before they submitted their theory for publication? hmm like to talk to them

Corwin: So now you're lecturing me on Scientific Method? It may help if you understood what that is.... do a Google search on "Scientific Method".... then get back to me.

Black Holes were predicted on paper... the math suggested that a super-massive star would collapse into a singularity. Einstein didn't like the idea, and sought to find an error in the math.
Only many years later did we actually observe Black Holes and prove their existence by way of this observation. Black Holes emit X-rays, and gravitationally affect surrounding masses, and bend light-waves in a process called "gravitational lensing".
Without direct observation, no scientific theory can be proven... hence there is no God in the equations.

And yes... I suppose I do speak for all believers who are scientists. Anyone who brings God into their theories or into the laboratory is no scientist... regardless of whether they like to think of themselves as one.

Corwin: Here's a hypothetical example - Some Christian "scientist" begins a theory of the age of the Earth, going on the assumption that God is real, and the Bible is the true word of God, representing absolute truth. He then picks and chooses which evidence to adhere to, and ignoring all evidence that refutes his belief in the Scriptures... even twisting existing evidence to fit his assumptions.
He later publishes his flawed theory on how he can "prove" that the Earth is only 6000 years old, and how dinosaurs walked the Earth with men before Noah left them behind and excluded their passage on the Ark.

This is BAD science.

near50ohoh: oh dude if i only had a copy of your cv, i might believe you. but, since that's not the case and you are obviously sent to test me, i'll tell you again to go to off topics, "ok, i have a big mouth?!! i prefer to use more credible sources than you, some random guy who is often mean and demeaning.. i've said before, don't kick someone then expect them to hop to your orders. very few people will. i've actually spoken to christians who don't see the bible as a fact start to finish and can only imagine there are christian scientists who feel that way too. your "knowledge" of christians is sadly lacking so i can safely say in theory your "knowledge" of christian scientists may be also. christianity is a large number of individuals as are all believer groups and even atheists. it's not scientific to presume all of a group share all characteristics either. groups are formed by similarities.
