Almost right Corvin. That department was asked about it. But it was a saucer shaped aircraft which was blown from its " skunkworks " in Germany after its round wing was cast.

The aircraft discovered at Roswell was found many years later and put on display in a museum along with many documents about it from that time.

However those documents revealed that the floating aircraft raised questions which included a discussion about Humanoids which many people had seen already.
