Euronews today summarizes the reported risks to nearby spacecraft from Comet siding Spring.

Clearly the risks are greater then NASA wants to admit.

Notice the size of the comets tail on the last animation.

The Blessings of Comet Siding Spring!

I think the humbug has disappeared leaving NASA and anyone else who is willing to play the game free to say what ever they want.

Here is a video showing a comet ploughing in to the sun just to show how much force the little pieces still may have.

duncan124:
"Siding Spring is now just 2 days away from buzzing Mars! It is now clear that the drop in brightness we saw beginning a couple of weeks ago has continued, but fortunately it hasn't fallen off the proverbial cliff."

It appears that Siding Spring's rate of brightening as it approaches the Sun has simply changed in recent weeks compared to what it was doing earlier in the year.....While everyone is focusing on the October 19 close approach to Mars, it's worth keeping in mind that October 25th is the comet's closest point to the Sun in its orbit, so that's the time it'll be experiencing the most solar radiation... http://cometcampaign.org/current-status

Well, if it has changed brightness already and continues to change to less bright then it has either broken up or has altered course and is heading in a different direction.

I emphasise the change in direction because if NASA and the internet are going to keep on making up pictures and stuff it is sure to be heading in this direction.

That had nothing to do with Mars Lipton and everything to do with Americans lying when they are shown to be wrong.

Try the ' Will Portugal Spark The Revolution' if you want to talk about politicians stealing things when scared, or if you want to promote yourself as their friend.

So far it is a hit. Until we get pictures of the comet well away from Mars, and remember how long Isons tail lasted after it had burned up in the sun, the best guess is it hit Mars.

The old lore says if the comet is less then half the nearest moon away it is far more likely to hit then to miss.

Something has stirred up the crazies.

Claims of a ' composite ' image from the Hubble space Telescope Showing Mars and the Comet Siding Spring fail the test of logic.
