ghostgeek: Chayiii, have you ever considered the Egyptians? How different do you think they are now to the people who lived in Egypt in the time of Moses?

chay chayi: A cat can basically remain a cat even if his digesting system changes

The Egyptians today are totally different from what they were in the time of Moses

ghostgeek: When things change we tend to give them a new name. If we didn't we'd get confused over whether we were talking about what originally existed or what now exists. Have you ever heard of the Avro Manchester, a British WWII heavy bomber? It had two engines, which left it a little underpowered, it being a large aeroplane. Then somebody had a bright idea; why not stick a couple more engines on it until something better could be developed. Guess what happened then. They called the new aeroplane a Lancaster.

The point, Chayiii, is that substantial change results in something new, necessitating a new name.

ghostgeek: A cat is a cat because it has all of the attributes that we consider appropriate for a cat. One of those attributes is that the animal must be a meat eater. If it loses that essential attribute it can no longer be considered a cat. No amount of argument can change this fundamental fact.

chay chayi: No, a cat is a cat because its basically fundamentally laws of the nature and mentallity of cats, not because of his digesting system

ghostgeek: Let's consider one of those laws of nature, the need of a cat to eat meat. It isn't just the digestive system that is adapted to this purpose. Everything about a cat is focused on this need. Its eyesight, its hearing, its sense of smell, the way it moves, its dentition; every aspect of a cat marks it out as a hunter. Turn it into a vegetarian and its whole design would have to change radically. It would not look, it would not act and it would not be, a cat.

chay chayi: Not true, a cat will remain a cat if it grows up on meat or not, human will remain human if he grows up on meat or not, their situation will be different, but their gender and kind will remain

chay chayi: A cat can live without meat, you're babbling lies, and it doesn't matter, God can change the cat's food process and it will remain a cat

ghostgeek: Chayiii, what if your God changed your food process so that you could only eat pork. Would that change you?
