All these verses are in the Torah, about how blessed Jews the children of Israel are, and there's vast of verse in the prophecy books that Israel is God's nation, his children, his blessed holy nation

ghostgeek: Strange how the fearless inhabitants of Israel seem mighty concerned about Iran developing atomic bombs. In such a practical matter there doesn't seem much trust in God.

chay chayi: God's way is involved in nature, he doesn't handle everything by miracles, miracles are only meant to prove God's presence, but God's presence is among nature, and Moses also did wars and David too

ghostgeek: So what you're saying Chayiii is that God won't deflect incoming missiles, armed with atomic weapons, as they fly towards Israel. Well, that seems rather mean of Him, considering that Israel is supposed to be His nation.

chay chayi: These miracles will only be when the Messiah will arrive, before then, you must strive with nature, and God is with the Jews among nature

ghostgeek: So hard luck Israel if the Iranians launch a barrage of atomic weapons before the Messiah can be bothered to put in an appearance? God really does work in mysterious ways.

chay chayi: Israel will destroy Iran's reactor when it will be about to be accomplished, like they did with Iraq and Syria

ghostgeek: What makes you think the Iranians haven't already figured that one out and found a nice bomb proof place to stoke up their reactor?

Isaiah 12
You will say in that day:

ghostgeek: It's a funny sort of end you're talking about Chayiii. Consider the following:

"The lion shall eat straw like the ox?" Not while it's still a lion, it won't. A lion is a cat so it has to eat meat to survive.

"And there will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant that remains of his people?" Assyria is long gone so it has no bearing on the future.

chay chayi: No, a lion can live on straw like other animals, besides that God will change the law of nature

Assyria has offspring

ghostgeek: Chayiii, it's well enough known that cats, including lions, need to eat meat. Their metabolisms appear unable to synthesize certain essential nutrients, so they must rely on animal flesh in their diet to supply them. They cannot live on straw. So it's not about changing the laws of nature but rather about changing the nature of lions. In other words, making them something other than lions.

Assyria was destroyed. It didn't have offspring.

What followed was the Neo-Babyolonian Empire, which in turn was conquered by the Persians who, of course, let the Jews go back to Jerusalem. Nothing that followed the demise of Assyria can be connected back to that state.

If the internal metabolism of a lion is changed, such that it no longer needs meat, then the animal is no longer a lion. It might still look like a lion but it will have become a very different kind of animal with very different habits. Lions need meat. That is part of the definition of a lion.

ghostgeek: Part of the definition of a lion is that it belongs to the cat family and cats need meat. If cats turn to eating strawberry jam instead of nice juicy pork chops, they cease to be cats because they no longer fulfil the definition of a cat.

ghostgeek: The peoples of the Assyrian empire were absorbed into what was, briefly, the Neo-Babylonian empire before that in turn disappeared in the burgeoning Persian empire. Then along came the Greeks to mess things up even more. History flushed the Assyrians down the tubes, never to be heard of again.

chay chayi: The definition of cats is not based on what they can eat or not,they are basically cats, if they eat or starve to death, God created nature that cats should eat what they eat, and when he wants to change it, they still remain cats

Notice how the word "carnivorous" crops up both times.

chay chayi: They state the definition of a cat on whats its nature is, but if God changes his nature of food, he still remains a cat

ghostgeek: Chayiii, a cat needs to eat meat to gain certain nutrients that it cannot gain any other way. For a cat to gain what it needs to live from anything other than meat it would need a change to its digestive system. That would make it a different kind of animal, something other than a cat.

ghostgeek: I agree though that not everyone who once lived in the state of Assyria was killed when it collapsed. They ended up as the subjects of some other empire.

chay chayi: God can change the needs of a cat, and still remaining a cat

Its not obligated that they were mixed in other societies, it could be they remained in the same place but with no empre

ghostgeek: If God existed He could change a cat into a different kind of creature, one that retained many of the attributes of a cat, like its appearance for instance, but no longer ate meat. If this happened the animal would no longer be a cat and would need to be called something else, if only to distinguish it from the original meat eating beast.
