GeraldtheGnome: Peace is Mythical, things being calm and tranquil are possible though, even there, there have even been times there where it has been. It doesn't always mean War there and it hasn't in the Past, too much so has it been the case of the area being War torn. It's more or less The Holey Land (even though there's no such thing as Holey) than The Holy Land. ghostgeek: I don't think Hamas has any monopoly on hate. The reality seems to be that the whole Middle East, including Israel, seems to be a single bubbling caudron of hatred and loathing. As with any virulent disease, the afflicted parties should be quarantined to protect the rest of us.

Jabaa resident Abdul Rahim Mahmoud, 52, said the mosque attack came after several violent incidents in the area involving settlers over the past year, including the wounding of a Palestinian shepherd by gunfire and the destruction of olive trees owned by residents. Attacks by Israelis against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are “routine,’’ according to Noa Cohen of Israeli human rights group Yesh Din. Yesh Din has documented eight cases in which mosques were set on fire in the West Bank since 2006. No one has been arrested in any of the cases. Between 2005 and 2014, Yesh Din monitored 1,045 files opened by Israeli police following Palestinian complaints. Only 7.4 per cent of these complaints led to indictments of Israeli civilians suspected of attacking Palestinians and their property, according to the group. In Jabaa, there was defiance alongside the fear of more attacks. In white letters, fresh graffiti written on one of the mosque’s walls read: “Whatever you burn, we stay in this land and in our mosque we pray.”

ghostgeek: Why do you concern yourself with Hamas Chayiii? Israel has weapons of mass destruction, not the Palestinians. So what is it that you fear?

GeraldtheGnome: In all seriousness Ghost, as much as Chayiii is being One-Eyed about all of this please don't downplay what the worst of the Palestinians are doing at the same time though. There is a lot to fear from the radical elements that ruin it for the majority of the Israelis and also ruin it for the majority of Palestinians. One opposing extremist provides the lame excuses for the extremist against that one to do what he or she does. Besides, if the Israeli Government wanted to Nuke anywhere where Hamas is then it would have happened by now, besides the Nuclear Fallout would come down on Israel proper and that isn't what the Israeli Government wants.

Some of what has happened lately has had nothing to do with Suicide Bombing, instead it has been solely to do with War, I mean that of all that were fighting on all sides of the then conflict.

GeraldtheGnome: War is War, no matter how much you deny it. Currently there is no War but that doesn't mean that there won't be. Besides the show of Bravado it is quite understandable that you and anyone else in Israel fear what those from within Israel proper and from those outside it are capable of.
