sick of pc religious tolernce bs R E B E C C A: I was brought up with the belief that we should be tolerant and respectful of others religious and cultural beliefs and attitudes  And I always have done that, I always like to think i treat people as individuals, treat others as you would like others to treat you etc....Im not saying im better than any one else because that's how most people in my culture have been raised. But for doing that, what thanks do we get .....NONE whatsoever. Infact we get told we are weak, that we have no morals, we get judged as being bad without having done wrong!! I think its time religion set about earning respect instead of expecting it to be handed to them....for example , people wearing religious clothing don't wear them in celebration of religion they wear them in the belief that by not doing they become a sinner.....so in effect i am sinner....n they can know that from how i look.....n then they say they don't judge but its nothing more than lip service.....how can they not judge? There's no common sense either, you know that thing we are born with......if god gives you legs then surely the last thing you should be ashamed of is showing them? Or..to imagine men are too depraved and uncivilized that the only way they can behave is for women to hide away? That's an insult to men......Religious attire serves no purpose other than to put u in one team or another.....like a football kit. Another religious idea is that only those of a particular religion are Gods chosen people, again that automatically makes the rest of us lesser human beings, and THEN they think we should be tolerant and accepting of them walking about thinking they are better.....well FU....I don't even think God would approve of all this religious BS...I will treat people with respect so long as they return the favour....but as far as keeping my opinions to myself so as not to offend their offensive religion....why should I? ok rant over harlett anathema: .....  ..."R"....most folks who know me personally or have been around me personally know that they can experience unusual for themselves supernatural type events....it's just the way it is.. without going into all the ......BACK in a Day sometime in the 90's late 80"s..perhaps...and while investigating churches not roman catholic churches by the way...a voice clear as a bell ringing.. said ta me.. if the preacher/teacher calls the congregation stinking sinning pigs or anything akin ta it.. get the HELL out of dodge.. they are false teachers and preachers due the consequences of....and of course while enjoying the Bible study the preacher/teacher began ta shine like a demented satanic xmas tree and did just that called us all stinking sinning pigs.. Distraction all works out even, I suppose. RE: God's chosen people. So, I'm wondering how it is that some people heard God calling is a problem. You know, some of them are truly nice and upstanding, loving, kind and patient people with big hearts. Yes, God chose them for a certain kind of work. God chooses others for special work too - some don't know it, some do. How many got picked to be on American Idol or as Donald Trump's #1 confidant, a President, movie star or legendary comedian? Who amongst them got knighted by the Queen, or given a medal for bravery? Sure, a few religious people were picked for the 'Volunteer of the Year" Award, but where do you see that they have any more rank and power *in the world* than you do? I think the only valid complaint you have there is if some people of one religion told people of a different religion "I'm going to heaven to be with the Lord and you're not". That's a mighty big presumption. I've known far too many non-religious people who are highly egotistical too. OTH, if their Lord isn't your Lord, isn't it obvious you're not going to be with their Lord?? What's the problem?? Tolerance is easy, acceptance is a lot harder. If there is a God who will refuse a child access into the place for not being baptized, who believes that we are all born with sin n that we must learn to be good.....where the others who dwell there need to have it written down that they mustn't kill or harm others and yet still struggle to remember.....though as long as they big him up daily he'll be willing to ignore that.....then I can assure you 100% that I don't want go there....it sounds like hell.. Tolerance is easy, and yet the religious cannot manage that much.....N that doesn't stop them wanting acceptance......I do not demand the religious to accept my views, they have a right to their own. harlett anathema: WooooWeeeee.......i don't think most folks get,gist..fully understand that modern Christianity was doctrine out of texas in the 1800's..and is not exactly exactly biblical..or that every single preacher educated and what all else are held to teaching those doctrines.. with that said....folks like myself who are driven to investigate biblical teachings and writings,are hammered with a driven curiosity about all things supernatural...those that aren't driven with that drive have folks like me.. to hear of these things from.. & Jesus tells us throughout His ministry that He was continually exasperated by those filled with wanting to be His favorite, or by those who mocked another's faithfulness that perhaps was childish to a more adult mind in these things.. someone in another thread said a child needs ta be taught not ta be sinful....i am sure i am not alone in being with desire ta have  for having said such foolish statement...a child needs ta taught table manners,language skills and ta be socialized and being taught personal hygiene.... no child is full of of committing crimes and acts against GOD or the codes of conduct of being in universal harmony.. for Xmas tree sake... when folks say such irresponsible nonsense,they are doing so to get attention and take your attention away from discovering more universal supernatural understanding and knowledge... (Edited by pyroclastic flo) chay chayi: The reason of God to command "you should not kill" is because 1) people kill even if they know its evil, and God commands it that if yes you will suffer and be punished 2) Even if you have any reason to kill and you are angry on him, and he did the worst things to you, you're not aloud to kill by any reason (only by self defense when he wants to kill you) harlett anathema: Folks KILL because they don't believe they will endure serious consequences,when their own life ends... other folks kill because they believe "all will be forgiven" while others are taught all of their lives that "GOD" called by any Name what so ever expects them to KILL those of their own faith and those of every other faith... pyroclastic flo: humans kill in the name of their gods b/c humans are primates and primates are usually aggressively territorial.
