Are religious people more prone to being judgemental? (Page 2) GeraldtheGnome: That made sense ? Each to their own I guess. But we are mentioning a God of which there is no proof for or against his existence, but that isn't supposed to be the subject on hand anyway, besides the only 'journey' that is ever made is when you go from A to B in a Plane or a Car or walk and so on, the other 'journey' is just a politically correct word. If someone goes on a Religious Pilgrimage that is a spiritual journey. cowpoker: Journey: a travelling from one place to another; a distance, course or area traveled or suitable for travelling; a period of travel; passage or progress from one stage or state to another; a process of transition, eg 'the journey through life'. I think First's use of 'journey' was more semantically correct than politically so. If you spend all your time arguing things like how 'the road to success' is not really a road, you're successfully missing the point. GeraldtheGnome: The other term for journey is just the politically correct term. Mainly brought about by North Americans using it. (Edited by GeraldtheGnome) Zanjan: God gave us the gift of discernment, not the individual right to condemn. While we can discern a person's state of being, to show contempt for that lowers our own. It's a shame so many people get hung up on words, forgetting the spirit and wisdom of a thing. GeraldtheGnome: There is no proof that God did or didn't give us anything or even the right to condemn or not condemn or to show contempt or not to show contempt. I can't even see this spirit that you mean. There is not even any proof that God does or doesn't exist, believe or hope that he does, never be 100 % certain that he does or doesn't without the proof that what you believe is true though if you are among the 100 % certain crew.
GeraldtheGnome: Maybe so, but are you 100 % certain that you are right ? Oh and with the Lemons, they are Hybrids. GeraldtheGnome: The knowledge of God being real is different than the belief that God is real. But then "I believe that Children are our future, teach the World and let them lead the way !" Even after her death she haunts my non Coke filled mind.
