zanzerbar: What will the steadfast followers do when they find out that Scientology was based on a rouse from a drug addicted, washed up Sci Fi writer? RL Hubbard Jr tells the truth of the madman father he was raised by in an article that explains the inception of Scientology. Scientology was based on trying to come up with fast money by a conman from gullible people needing something to believe in. He did a great job didn't he.

edricleeboneham: People over hype scientology, if you make it a big deal, its a big deal, and they want you to think it is. But in the end like everything else it seems to boil down to peoples desires for things like fame and wealth and power, always the same, same old dog with a new name.

chronology: Scientology started taking a lot of Flack, a really lot of Flack, when they campaigned about Homosexuality perhaps not being the best life choice a person could make, and believing Big Farmer was drugging up millions of people unnecessarily. Perhaps they should have learned from other religions and just not stand up for anything.

LiptonCambell: Lol other religions stand up for plenty....abortion, homosexuality, alcoholism, gambling- hell, even what food is sacred and what food is "unclean", most religions have a stance on them.....

....not that Scientology is any good, but still..

Zanjan: Religions don't charge a fee to hear the Word of God - there's no fee of X number of dollars for each level you can creep up (secret knowledge not exposed to public).

Religions generally don't start in a bar on a bet, then get nailed for income tax evasion.
