It seems to me that the meaning of Deuteronomy 30 should be understood in relation to chapter 29, which clearly is saying that any Jew who goes and worships other gods is going to get a kick up the backside from God.

ghostgeek: If He exists, it will be up to God to judge who the wicked are, nobody else, and certainly not you Dadman. I would recommend a little less preaching and a little more introspection if you want to miss out on the furnace.

ghostgeek: There's billions of theists in the world, all certain of their salvation, and most of them don't believe in what you believe in Dadman. It seems to me that this God you trust in has been telling different stories to different people. That doesn't make Him sound very trustworthy to me.
