Copper Age Religions.

GeraldtheGnome
GeraldtheGnome: I do realize that maybe I should've put Stone Aged, Ice Aged, Tool Aged and Copper Aged Religions but I won't worry about that now, what has been done has been done after all.

This covers what was happening Worldwide with Humans during the Copper Age of 7,000 BC up to and including 5,000 BC, though technically they should be considered to be 6,999 BC and 4,999 BC.

ABKHAZIA, THE AERICAN EMPIRE, AFGHANISTAN, (FINLAND) ARAND ISLANDS, (THE USA) Alaska and ALBANIA. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions.

ALGERIA. : CAPSIANS. : MECHTA-AFALOUS : See above.

ANGOLA. : SANS. : 'A San woman, she is a part of the groups of Hunters and Gatherers that lives in and around the Kalahari Desert, she represents one of the ancient non-Bantu population of small, yellow skinned people; her face-paint was designed to ward off evil Spirits.' Actually they aren't yellow skinned, they have Brown skin.

That was from 'Part I, Classical African Religions, Chapter 13, Dimensions of African Religion, section, Some Doctrinal Themes, page 309, from the book 'The World's Religions, Second Edition by Ninian (you have a very emasculating first name) Smart.'

ARGENTINA. : TEHUELCHES. : 'Small-Scale Societies in South America.

The conditions of existence in South America outside of the Andean region of course varied a lot. Many of the groups in the tropical forest regions of the Amazon and Orinoco basins (which are sadly depleted by the way in population since the first culture contact with Europeans, so that also there may have thereby been great social and religious changes) do not seem to have anything but the occasional belief in a High God or Supreme Being. However, such a belief is (and was) very far reaching in the Pampas and Patagonia regions.'

That was Part 1, page 148, Chapter 7, The Americas, by Ninian (who is not of Saint Finnian's) Smart.

SELKNAMS. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions

AUSTRALIA. : AUSTRALOIDS. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions. 'The ritual dimension: body-painting. The membership of someone in the clan was achieved through and elaborate initiation ritual.'

That was a doctored version of 'The World's Religions, Second Edition, Chapter 6, The Pacific, page 173 by Ninian (you have stupid first name) Smart.'

THE BUNURONGS. : BUNURONG CLANS. : THE YALUKIT-WILLIAMS. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions. Waarn (not Warnie) was a Raven and the protector of the waterways.

OTHER CLANS. : See above.

THE JARDWADJALIS. : JARDWAJALI CLANS. : GUNDIDJ. : See my forum Tool Age Religions.

OTHERS. : See above.

THE DJAB WURRUNGS. : DJAB WURRUNG CLANS. : BERIPMO BALUGS. : See above.

THE UTOUL BALUGS. : See above.

OTHERS. : See above.

WATHAURONGS. : WATHAURONG CLANS. : YAAWANGIS. : See above and see Kulin on Wikipedia.

THE WADA WURRUNG BALUGS. : See above.

THE BURRUMBEET BALUKS. : See above.

THE KEYEET BALUKS. : See above.

THE TOOLOORA BALUKS. : See above.

OTHERS. : See above and see Wikipedia by searching there for the name Wathaurong.

THE WHADJUKS. : See my forum named The Tool Age and see Whadjuk over at Wikipedia.

THE WERGAIAS. : See above minus the Whadjuk bit. Also the Wergaias had a sophisticated knowledge of Astronomy and connected the rising and setting of particular Stars with seasonal events and that of Dreamtime mythology.

THE WURUNDJERIS. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions, they also believed in the Waang the Crow mythology.

THE YARRA YARRAS. : See above.

TASMANIAN ABORIGINALS. : TOOGEES. : See my Forum Tool Age Religions.

OTHERS. : See above.

AVRAM. : See above.

CANADA. : MARITIME ARCHAIC INDIANS. : See the last two paragraphs of the 'Maritime Archaic' sector on Wikipedia, there is a 50 % chance, if that information is even true, that those burial practices were forms of Religious rituals.

THE HAIDAS. : They weren't 'LOVERS' . Okay, that was a bad joke. Haida Gwaii is the name that the Haidas (or the politically correct Haida or The Haida) name The Queen Charlotte Islands and Prince Charles Island in the Pacific Ocean and they are coastal islands of Canada. For more on Haida religion see Haida Mythology, Raven Tales, Ta'xet and Tia, as well as Shamans and the Sky God on wikipedia.

CHILE. : TEHUELCHES. : See below.

SELKNAMS. : See my forum named Tool Age Religions.

CHINA. : HUAXIAS. : JIAHUS. : Burial objects range from Pottery to Tortoise Shells. Burial offerings varied between individuals and are believed to be linked to the skills that they displayed in life, which showed evidence that they had an early specialization of labour. The types of labour specialization from most common to rare included Farmers, Herdsmen, Fishermen, Hunters, Potters, Musicians (then and or later on since I have no information if musicians existed at the start of their time) and a Tribal Priest. They were around from 7,000 BC up to and including 6,600 BC, which technically should be considered to be 6,999 BC and 6,599 BC instead. They were in parts of China.

(THE AERICAN EMPIRE) Chompsville. : See WATHAURONGS. It is located in north eastern Melbourne (my own personal HELL ON EARTH) in Victoria in Australia. Though modern Chompsville is an overseas territory of The Aerican Empire but located within the now country of Australia.

THE GLACIER REPUBLIC. : See the Selknams section on here.

THE PRINCIPALITY OF HUTT RIVER. : See my Australoids section on here.

MONGOLIA. : PRE-MONGOL PEOPLE. :This is actually unproven, one of my books has a claim in it that from 50,000 BC up to and including now Shamanism first appeared in central Asia, there is no proof that any of them were around that long ago, also Siberia in Russia or any part of Eurasia is not 'Central Asia' . There is also no proof that during that time or even in 7,000 BC that Mongolia had any Shamanistic Religions. However the book has this claim 'Nomadic Shamanic Cultures. Nomadic cultures dating back to Paleolithic times displayed examples of Shamanic beliefs and customs, such as ritual burials.' The claim is false because it is going off guesswork rather than off facts. Anyway my claim might end up being false but it is probably closer to the truth, my claim is that in 7,000 BC pre-Mongolian people, of a type and name I have no information on, first followed a religion or religions that had Shamans.

NEPAL. : KIRATS. : I have no information on when the Kirats started using Religion, it may have been as early as 40,000 BC, which I doubt or 10,000 BC or in 7,000 BC like I think, but it was certainly before 3,000 BC. The Kiratis today believe that Shiva was originally their God and that he was under another name. See Kirati people, Kirat Mundhum, Sakela and Limbu at Wikipedia. Kiratism was then and is still followed by all of the Kirats/Kiratis except for that of the Limbus who followed and still follow a similar religion. I cannot find any information to tell me when either of these religions formed or if Shiva of Hinduism was a derivative of the God mentioned in these two Religions or that when Hinduism was incorporated into these Religions, as it was, was when the first actual Hindu or Hindu-like God of his kind was known to the Kirats. Technically the years I just showed should be considered to be 39,999 BC, 9,999 BC, 6,999 BC and 2,999 BC respectively.

PAKISTAN. : MEHRGARHS. : Numerous burials of theirs have been found, many with elaborate goods such as baskets, stone and bone tools, beads, bangles, pendants and occasionally Animal sacrifices, with more goods left with burials of Males.

RUSSIA. : SIBERIANS. : This bit is a continuation on about the more than likely mistaken belief that Shamanism existed in in Russia, Mongolia and in some other what are now countries well before the Holocene started. Straight from the book again, 'This type of spirituality is still found in parts of the Asian interior, including Siberia.' Well that is right and wrong, right that it is in most cases, but wrong when they are factoring in the belief that it existed before the Holocene based on guesswork and wrong considering that Siberia and a lot of these 'Asian countries' that are mentioned are actually a part of Eurasia instead, especially that of the SIberian part of Russia. "Da !"

'Til modern times Shamanism has been a main feature of the great area stretching from European Russia to Kamchatka. The Shaman was a spiritual specialist who had to undergo initiation; but prior to that he many have had to undergo a great sickness. He then emerged from that experience and from initiation onwards he was seen as a vigorous and creative person, who was able to help others and who possessed visionary powers.'

That was from 'The World's Relgions, Second Edition' by Ninian (of Saint Finnians) Smart, Part 1, Chapter 9, Persia and Central Asia, section 'The Geographic significance of Central Asia, subsection 'Shamanism from North Asia. I still Siberia is not a part of North Asia or that of Central Asia, western Russia is not European Russia either, all of it is just Eurasia. Oh, yeah and that was on pages 228 and 229.

There is no information on when Shaminism started in Europe, Eurasia, Asia and the Americas or anywhere else in the World, but historians have guessed when and the most foolish of them have assumed that it was practiced Worldwide from 30,000 BC on. If anything, the earliest it happened in Russia, which I am guessing at, is 7,000 BC, it most likely didn't happen then but I think it happen close to then and after then if not then, not before then. That was a doctored version of the words in the book by the way.

(JAPAN) Ryukyu Islands. : Ryukuans. : See wikipedia at Ryukyan Religion, Okinawan Mythology, as well as their links, during the Copper Age though, there were no Tombs on Ryukyu Island. There is no proof that the Religion started before or during 7,000 BC, but once again, like with the other forms of Shamanism mentioned on here, I am sticking with what I believe about it, which I think is closer to being right, though most likely to early in the piece to be true.
