GrumpyGranny: Where are your manners, young man?

A great punsihment, eh? What is the next, that someone will torch my house if I don't repent? Where does all this hatred come from? Lack of an honest occupation? So that you have enough time on your hands to listen to religious leaders instigating destructive thoughts in your brain?

If I were you, I would have hung my head in shame and wept bitterly. You are not to tell people here about reward and punishment as if this were proven facts, so please avoid spreading such nonsense.

And this is a debate forum, so we are not supposed to keep our thoughts to ourselves, but to let others know what's on our mind; and right now, I have disbelief and disgust on mine.

orkanen: assegayer: Have you ever noticed that Muslims themselves have to enforce every demand in Islam? For example, kill those who leave Islam. If Allah did exist, it could to the job itself, but as it doesn't, well, you know the rest.

I'll pass a message of warning back to you. If you live your life now, instead of wasting it with your bum in the air, waiting for one that probably won't come, you might enjoy it a little more.

Your healthy thought (HT): "Hmm, when did I design my body?"

Your atheist thought (AT): "Oh yes, I remember designing it when I was nothing at all. I looked around and saw available materials to build up my self with."

HT: " Yeah, but who created those available materials?"

AT : " You don't get it?! I created them before I was nothing."

the rest of it..... you can continue with your own words. I can't use the word 'before' too many times

CoIin: Little things like facts and not making sense never seem to deter the fanatic.

No offence to the ladies out there, but this reminds me of my ex. At the end of a "dispute" when her position had been shown to be untenable, she would look at me with doleful and say "But I'm a woman"

Ah, how I miss her.

CoIin: I have a couple of questions for Asseg:-

1. Do you ever ask yourself "Is it possible that I'm wrong?"

2. If not, why is that praiseworthy?

GrumpyGranny: "...granny i hope you find the truth to save yourself from a great torment"

The greatest torment I will ever experience is irritating young theists posting speculative propaganda about what is best for me, as if a youngster from another culture would know that???!!!

A few weeks of hard manual labour would teach such stubborn greenhorns to behave like normal human beings and respect their elders. It's so easy to hide behind a fancy username and post all kinds of criticism from an arrogant "I-know-it-all-because-my-holy-book-tells-me-so" point of view. But dare repeat it to me in person and I'd whack you over the head with my hickory walking cane, you ungrateful upstart!!!

@ Sensual: Muslims never become atheists, because such people were never Muslims in the first place.

@ Colinian: Muslims (like all theists) are never wrong, because their faith is infallible.

Now, it's time for my late morning nap. Please don't disturb me, or you'll find out what real torment is like! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

[if my snoring bothers you, flip me over on the other side, but beware, I'm heavy. Thanks]

Norma955: Assegayer Wow, As a muslim convert I am disgusted at your behaviour, God judges people not you.
” Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who are just.” (Quran, 60: 8
Al-Baqarah 2:62.19

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

al-Hajj 22:17.17

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- God will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for God is witness of all things.

“Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in God has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And God hears and knows all things.” (Quran 2:256)

orkanen: Norma955: I have noticed a certain Muslim apologetic, Adnan Oktar, post a multitude of "scientific" claims, based from the Quran. Among them, a description of a word, I think it was daha, meaning to spread out, but also describing an ostrich's nest. And thus, he claims the Quran describes the world as egg-shaped.

Searching for this in various online Qurans, I found something else, namely several verses which in various ways describes the earth as flat. Why is it so, if the Quran is supposed to be the inerrant word of Allah?

baseball: Good question, but probably one that is hard to answer without compromising the "logic" of the teaching, since one cannot have it both ways...
