The inconvenient Truth about islam.. (Page 5) Amal_Hope: Hello Tecee and Krash, There is a big difference between the customs and traditions of the stupid peoples in the third world and the Islamic teachings. Mothers in the Quran; And We have enjoined on the human being in (regard to) his two parents - his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning was two years - Give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is the goal. But if they strive with you to associate with Me (gods) you do not know about, then do not obey them. But keep company with them both in the world in an honorable manner, and follow the path of who repents to Me. Then I will tell you what you have worked. - Surah Luqman ayat 14-15 Amal_Hope: Eastern societies are very concerned about the purity thier girls no one want's to see his daughter committing adultery!,,, and I think that the girl should respect the laws and the teachings of her family. But this is not an excuse to kill their girl. Evidence that these acts have nothing to do with religion is that you find in the muslim country that the atheist person is Respectable and a muslim who commits adultery is worse than dirt. Teece: I do understand about the Adultry (although I think it should go both ways for Male and Female) but I have a very tough time with the girls who get stoned because they have been raped and so have brought dishonour on their families..... How is their doing? They are powerless in this situation! So they have to go through the horror of being violated and then, because of it, suffer a horrible, painful and undignified death because of it? I truly don't understand any culture/religion that would condone this sort of violent and unjust behaviour!! Amal_Hope: A man and a woman came to the Prophet and they said to him, we committed adultery and we regret. Please mohammed stone us please and he said to them, no no, just go back, go back. The second and third time we feel shame and remorse how we meet God and we did the sin. Then they get stoned by people to deth. the Prophet cried after that and said they will go to heaven. I am not defending Islam, I'm an atheist and take it from man-made religions and human beings themselves are doing crimes in the name of religion. But on the other hand I love the beautiful teachings of all religions. Teece: I find it very interesting indeed how people of the Islamic faith tend to side step questions about certain practices of their religion that the rest of the world find barbaric, violent and unjust....... Why can you not answer in your own words? Excerpts from your bible do not explain (to me, anyway) why it is ok to murder people...... Edit : You edited Amal_hope as I was writing this and added that you are an Athiest. So am I. I get that you find the teachings of religion beautiful.... It would be great to have your opinion on some of those teachings and beliefs.... Amal_Hope: Good stuff bible http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/good/long.html Quran http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/quran/good/long.html (Warning: you have to read only about the good stuff!) *******-*******-*******-*******-*******-*******-*******- Malobear: Every man/woman does not walk this earth without sin. A quote from the Christian book says "Let the first man without sin cast the first stone." Meaning to me,its not any man/woman place to pass judgement over another. But this has obviously been twisted by most. Something to consider if you wish mercy from your own sins during your short time in this life. Geoff: Jesus is walking through Galilee, when he comes across a crowd about to stone a man to death. Stepping between the crowd he raises his hands and speaks to the assembled throng, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." An old lady totters forward with a huge rock in her hands. She lifts it high above her head and hurls it square at the unfortunate target of the crowd. Jesus sighs, puts his hands on his hips and says, "You know, you really get up my nose sometimes mother." KrAsH: There was a kiwi politician not that long ago who came up with the following.. "What is the difference between Muslims and Kiwis? Muslims get to commit adultery and get stoned, Kiwis get stoned and commit adultery." nickb2: I posted a few times to provoke a response from some of the muslim or islamic folks responding to this thread. I was deliberately forceful and very obtuse in my remarks as I found some of these posters to be also. I have a profound respect for anybody who is on a soul searching path in life which leads to self heightening. If religions are a means to that self improvement, then more power to you. I am always at odds with any kind of religious teaching or preaching which lend to monetary, power, proprietary, social gain on someone else's back! If you need a religion to back up your lack of a back bone, I sincerely have pity for you and feel for your lack of identity and self esteem. Religion should be for the teachings of values and principles which advance the human race together and toward a common goal, and not the other way around. I say thank you all for reading some of my posts and also for posting some very thought provoking substance I would not have expected from this site, but will no longer continue as the islamic community here has not (in my opinion) made a case for the original thread's question. I will also say that opinions are like a%@y$%$'s, everyone has one. That certainly includes me. So peace and hope everyone has great holidays with family and far from these raving mad fanatics who use propaganda to justify Jihad!"!
Malobear: I am sorry he didnt respond to your question, but he still might. I mustve have really sturred him up. I am spiritual, and being spiritual is not something you "practice",its a way of life. Everything on this earth has a spirit,we ARE one family. From what I have seen,Christians,Jews and Muslims dont quite think that way. Until they do,trouble will always lie ahead.Thank you for the blessing and to you and yours the same. Dont be a stranger. Amal_Hope: I wanna know more about spiritual if you dont mind! Coz my atheist test results reveals that I might be a Buddhist! Malobear: Go to my profile, about me. You can start there Amal hope. I am Native American and was raised in a Christian home. But thru the years I decided to revert back to my ancestors beliefs and I really dont regret it. Amal_Hope: Wow very interesting. I like it,,, do you know anything about opening the third eye. I mean do you think that we can see things through the third eye? is this real? Malobear: I have heard of such, But never really looked into it Amal. Is this Buddhist teachings? add-on: Hmm interesting, "What an open third eye does mean is that you will have a 'knowing' of ancient knowledge at your fingertips as events unfold for you in your life. An open third eye means that you will receive 'hits' of information and insights about other people that you are working with or in relationship with. This will assist you in making higher choices for yourself as you navigate your life." Sorry guys and gals, dont mean to go off topic. Amal_Hope: I dont wanna be a buddhist. Opening the third eye is a part of scientific thing called NLP. see here, http://www.squidoo.com/How-To-Open-Third-Eye | Religion Chat Room 22 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
