flashie: i dont know what thread youre reading missy.

sits asked how islam contradicts itself re wine, i answered plainly i think. he then went on to say 'Islam is the religion of peace, how come Sunnis and Shiites seem to have a distinct willingness to kill each other?'

so again i answered quite plainly the diff between shia and sunni's.

since sits seems to enjoy islam bashing (and most of the rest of you too) i asked a similar question regarding christians contradicting their teachings and pointed out the mass murder so called christian countries are guilty of.

what bothers me is alot of ppl here are quite happy to judge and make their own fatwas regarding a continent thousands of miles away, which tbh has nothing to do with the average westerners life - and completely ignore the facts that western countries are as guilty if not more so of the same crimes youre moaning about arabs committing. which is f%wx~$x rich considering the economy is fz&^$# and still were spending bilions of our taxes on high tech weapons and drones to murder innocent ppl daily. 3000 died on 911, more than 1000000 iraqis have died since 'we' decided they needed our help??? wtf?

as for understanding the thread swan started, and 'patterns' i dont know what youre on about.

swan said hes a fundamental muslim, he probably is. if anyone would care to understand what a real fundamental muslim is id urge you to read a book by a canadian called bilal phillips entitled 'tawheed: the fundamentals of islam' and learn

flashie: sits my question was...

christianity preaches turn the other cheek among other things so why is it christian countries are so willing to spend years bombing civillians?

flashie: ...you responded-

'But to answer your question, flashie:

Um ... do you remember a little war between Iraq and Iran? There was plenty of bombing in that war. Bombing, shelling, shooting, all that stuff.

Oh yeah, and poison gassing, too.

And Saddam didn't just bomb and gas Iran. He had a habit of bombing and gassing some of his own citizens, too, didn't he?

And there's plenty of bombing going on in the Sudanese Darfur right now too, isn't there? Hmm??? The Muslim government is arming and using various Arab ethnic groups to systematically wipe out black Africans in the south, aren't they? Systematically burning villages, starving them, killing the men, raping the women, poisoning the water sources ... there is a name for that activity, flashie. It's called genocide. And it's being practiced by an Islamic government.

But I think you are trying to allude to the fact that western planes bomb them, rather than vice-versa. It has as much to do with sociology and economics as with religion. Actually, religion does play a part, but not in the way you insinuate. Countries with Islamic populations, socially restrictive as they are, haven't been able to compete economically with Western countries for centuries. They've fallen behind economically, technologically, and just about every other way. Brain drain.

It's really quite simple. They're not bombing the west because their societies are too slow technologically to keep up. Do you really think that if the situation was reversed, some of those countries wouldn't bomb the west to oblivion?

Far be it for me to be defending Christianity. I have no use for that religion any more than any other. Nor am I defending every facet of US foreign policy. I have plenty of criticism for it.

It's just that your point, as usual, is just plain inaccurate and slanted.'

flashie: so you didnt really answer my question, instead you pretty much -

'Not surprisingly, you ask a question, and someone answers it in a way that refutes the point you were attempting to make, your response then is to deviate away from your original point and begin ranting about all sorts of unrelated or semi-related issues.

It's what you do.'

i asked about christian countries contradicting their teaching and being quite happy to kill 1000000 iraqis, i didnt ask about winston churchill introducing mustard gas to the kurds or puppet dictators in africa. so id say youve done a stellar job of 'deviate away from your original point and begin ranting about all sorts of unrelated or semi-related issues'

its what who does?

we really need a psychology forum here too.

flashie: there is a simple solution of course. if the arabs dealt with their corruption and we with ours - then we could get on much better without genocide and long tit for tat debate here.

flashie: y i didnt think id enjoy it but it was dope. the guy made the piano sound like a drum among other things.

usic aside tho, your jimi quote is spot on. david icke was on the radio last week talking about how those in power have always spent much time convincing the masses we have no power, and that these elite dynasties depend on us being dumb enough to belive they have power and we none.

ive never got turned on much for power, nor money. i have some evolving or devolving to do myself
