However, there is need to establish unity between independent religions, particularly amongst officially recognized religions. We've been addressing this need since the turn of the 20th century through many unity projects, such as World Religion Day, World Congress of Religions, and MultiFaith project groups in every city and region. One can't rely on national leaders to do everything for them so this education has to be ongoing at the grass roots level as well. There is no such thing as One World Religion, however, there IS such a thing as One Universal Faith. Only a few have clued into this in the past but its a rapidly growing meme as we are united in defense of our Faith against attackers and corruption by fakers. Only the best of each religion puts their foot forward to advance this Cause - they're the role models of Faith. (Edited by Zanjan) ghostgeek: All one need do is give all the religious people guns and let them fight it out. Yes, I know it sometimes seems as if they're all armed to the teeth, but the possibility exists that one or two are, so far, going without. Well, when they've really enjoyed themselves and riddled each other with bullets, the rest of us, the ones with common sense, can burn all the religious books and then, maybe, create a better world. Zanjan: My husband was telling me about a history program he recently watched about an American who discovered this very remote island in the Pacific Ocean in the early 20th century. No one knew it existed. The island was a stunning paradise and its tribal inhabitants had never seen a white man before. He stayed awhile and learned some of the language and found the happy people endearing. When it was time to go, he told the islanders if they liked the way they lived, they should never let a religious group come to the Island. He promised them God would send them gifts if they heeded that warning. Well, WW2 came along and ships in the Pacific were getting blown up. Wreckage washed ashore on the island with boxes filled with some cool stuff, and the people said "Hey, he was right!" Amongst the gifts from God was a wheel from a bicycle. They removed the spokes and turned the ends into hooks - now they had an extra strong, new fangled fishing tool. Some people are very happy to not know what they're missing; eventually, they'll find out because that's the Will of God in this new Age. When they do, no one will be able to stop their hunger. It has a GDP of $828m (£560.7m) compared to neighbouring Australia's $1.56tn, according to the World Bank. About two-thirds of people make a living from agriculture. Fishing, tourism and offshore financial services are the other main industries. Australia estimates that about 70% of the population of 250,000 live on remote islands or in rural areas, with few services and limited access to clean drinking water, transport or electricity. Australia is Vanuatu's main donor, giving A$60.7m (£31.45m: $46.5) in 2013/4, about 60% of total aid. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-31912305 Close to being wiped out by a catagory 5 cyclone.
