the real slim DEEPy: "WASHINGTON (AP) — At least eight Democratic members of the House were among about 200 people arrested Tuesday after they blocked a main street near the Capitol during a massive rally seeking to push Republicans to hold a vote on a stalled immigration reform bill.

Police would not identify those arrested. Representatives of the social policy organization Center for Community Change and The Associated Press witnessed the arrests of Reps. John Lewis, D-Ga.; Luis Gutiérrez, D-Ill.; Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz.; Keith Ellison, D-Minn.; Joseph Crowley and Charles Rangel, both D-N.Y.; Al Green, D-Texas; and Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill.,"

the real slim DEEPy: there is nothing tyrannical about rejecting a flawed bill. the repulicans do support immigration reform; however, they want to secure the borders 1st, while this proposed bill wants to grant amnesty while still in the process of securing the border.

lori100: The border has never been secured. California has gone bankrupt with all the programs to help illegal aliens get food, medical care, housing, childcare, education. The govt helps them get credit cards, drivers' licenses, free medical and dental care, free college education. How many times have we heard of Congressmen and Senators who employ illegal aliens?

the real slim DEEPy: and that is the problem, the gop wants border security improvements BEFORE immigration reform, or, the amnesty will cause the entire country of mexico to swim the rio for guaranteed amnesty- i.e. rewarding illegal behavior... nothing against mexicans, their country is just very corrupt, due to the power of the drug cartels, which is actually the us's fault, for making marijuana such a money crop for the black market
