US Sanctions on Iranian Civilians

Pulp
Pulp: It used to be that before a trip to Iran, we’d spend the week buying dresses and coats and other gifts for every member of the extended family, trying our hardest to imagine who would wear what and to remember the correct sizes of relatives we hadn’t seen in years.

These days, however, the preparations for a trip to Iran have another component: stocking up on basic medicines to give to friends, family, and anyone else we can think of to replenish their supply.

US sanctions have essentially cut off access to many kinds of medicine to Iran, and as the days go by Iranian pharmacies have fewer and fewer supplies of even the most basic medicines to offer. Those supplies that remain are terribly expensive, and they are often expired or have been rejected by quality control in their home countries and then smuggled into Iran.

This picture is from my latest trip to Iran a few months ago. Previously, I had brought cancer medicines to a cancer hospital that was in short supply. This time, however, the hospital told me to forget about cancer treatment and to just focus on basic medicine like ibuprofen, as supplies were running low.

Sanctions on Iran are a silent but extremely deadly form of warfare, no doubts about it.

Does the average Iranian living in Iran understand why the US and other countries have sanctions on Iran?

Captain Canada: How would you like to be on the other side of the coin Mr.David
What if the world would place sanctions and boycotts on your country due to Syria attacks.
I guess you wouldn't be asking that question.

Gods Insanity: Sanction on medicine haha how low can you get.

Does the average American living in US know that their government is forcing a sanction on medicine as well? or Why businesses can't trade freely but are used as political leverage? I wonder how many of them will agree to this.
