An interesting essay on why the Republican Party could be headed for long-term minority status

davesdatahut: Very, very interesting essay worth reading on how the GOP is increasingly viewed as the party of NO - no negotiating, no give, no embrace of chance.
The party is repeating the same mistakes made by the Democrats in the late 60s through the 70s, when the liberal wing hijacked the party. Perceptions are all-too-important in today's world, and with younger, more liberal voters replacing older, more conservative ones, the Repubs are looking at increased marginalization.
As Jeb Bush is quoted saying, very cogently:
"All too often we’re associated with being anti-everything. Way too many people believe Republicans are anti-immigrant, anti-woman, anti-science, anti-gay, anti-worker, and the list goes on and on and on. Many voters are simply unwilling to choose our candidates, even though they share our core beliefs, because those voters feel unloved, unwanted and unwelcome in our party."
