The Bottomless Pit of Money.

GeraldTheGnome
GeraldTheGnome: The never ending chain of money, the limitless supply of cash, the bottomless pit of money, you can phrase it whatever way you want, economically the general public are seen in that manner by politicians, various companies, various businesses, various groups and various individuals.

One way or the other the general public is seen as the source with an unlimited amount of cash to give these greedy people in various parts of the world, including here. I will give various examples of what I mean in the next message of mine.

Are you or others or both seen as having an unlimited supply of money available as far as these greedy people are concerned ?

Comrade_: Money has value because we give it value.
I think it's not money, but a limitless supply of 'man-power', etc. more the people themselves than their money.

GeraldTheGnome: It can be but that way at times, the greedy think that everyone is fair game and wish that we all should just fork out a bit more each time they think of a new way of 'bleeding people dry'. Well example 1, there was a girl I liked in grade 7 after that we went to different High Schools, we got along very well but never went out. I only saw her once in a blue moon after that, I was in love with her then, well when I was 15 I went to a shop that she started to work at. I bought this jumper that I wouldn't have worn in a million years, the thing is she had changed, she batted her eyelids and just saw me at the time as someone to make a quick sale from.

She did con me into it because she knew what I thought of her, after that I got a refund on it at a different store from that and the workers there told me there that she's conned other males in the same fashion. After that I never went near the greedy bitch again, I was over her. I saw her years later with some guy, I'm guessing that she was his Sugar Daddy, well his loss and my relief. But yeah I won't go into detail right now but every time some government throws away money on something wasteful (like on the NBN here in Australia) then they go, "Hell we've run out of taxpayers money. I've got an idea, let's dream up some new unfair taxes even though the general public are already overtaxed. After all the taxpayer always has more money for us." That is an example of where they see us as an unlimited source of money. You think they (the various governments) don't see it that way even in in the most debt ridden countries of the world ?

GeraldTheGnome: As for the female that was 'smart' she was too smart for her own good and I am sure by now if not later that she'll be outsmarted by someone. She was a sales shark, a con that used her physically attractive self and her charm to sell stuff to males, since I wasn't the only one that she fooled.

Actually she wasn't the girl of my dreams when I was 15, when I ended primary school I really missed her, then the next year when I started high school my brat of a sister (who is younger) brought a female friend over to our place, I fell in love with her. From that point on she was number one on my list, between the time I met her and I was 15 there was a few times that we didn't get on, during those times I thought about the girl I still loved since primary school. I thought about going out with her during those bad times, the last bad time like that was when I was 15. Which was a good thing because I got over her straight away.

If I was an elected official I would change the whole political system, one of which the general public wanted, where they decided what should happen with their money. I would decide not to be a paid official, where I and others only served the people, not one where the people are seen as a way to make a profit or as a source for me to get money that I wished to waste. It is too easy to spend other peoples money. I and others would be as transparent as we possibly could be. As for now it is only the dream of Stocktaker/Auditor and that of a Labour Hire guy.

Example 2. Political Pensions. This is the earliest example I can think of where I live. Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland, unlike in the US those that live in Australia have Premiers as the leader of the state, (Chief ministers in the Territories), with Governor Generals that play a mainly ceremonial role in State Politics. Well at one stage there was a Premier in Queensland called Sir Joh Bejelke Peterson, he led the National Party and in his last few years in this still Police State he showed that power really had got to his head. There was a lot of good and bad points about him including why I think political pensions aren't that good. I will explain later since this message has blown out to longer than I wanted it to be.

Mimee_red: Making money or profit maximization..that is how capitalism thrives without which you would not be enjoying what u call 'luxuries' and without which very few people would be motivated to push themselves. So yes, there is a money chain everywhere that keeps nations competitive....the trick is not to get sucked into the bottomless pit.

GeraldTheGnome: Okay for those that know of Joh Bjelke-Petersen, he wasn't as bad as his opponents make out, there was a lot I liked about him but in his last few years he was at his worst. Under him and since him Queensland was and is a Police State where the Pigs are too heavy handed, not all cops are bad but as Rodney Rude put it, "I've been to Italy and I've been to Greece, they treat me better than the Queensland Police." Well under Joh, who was born in NZ, a rather eccentric Peanut Farmer that lived in Kingaroy had a lot of odd sayings that still make me laugh and a lot of comedians did impersonate him, rightfully so. My overseas cousin who is older than me doesn't think much of him, but I disagree.

What I didn't like about Sir Joh was that under him there was a lot of corruption brought about by police and by National Party members, it involved Brothels, drugs etc. When I was a kid I went past The Valley on my way to my Grandma's, dad always drove past The Top of the Valley, in theory prostitution was illegal in Queensland, yet any time I went past the Valley even during a part of my teenage life you could clearly tell that the strip joints etc were really fronts for Brothels, cops and politicians were bribed, they saw the sex workers and drug runners in Queensland as a limitless supply of money.

If the drug runners or sex workers weren't obliging then they were closed down, now and again there'd be raids on some sex industry or drug 'industry' workers to give the false impression of them being legitimate, it was a meaningless token effort to try to avoid anyone getting suspicious. The Fitzgerald Inquiry eventually was brought about, that ushered in the beginning of the end of the National Party as a power. The other thing is that around the end of Joh's power a number of historical buildings were secretly knocked down because Sir Joh did some 'quiet' deals with the Deen Brothers, who just like him saw those opportunity's as a way to make more money. I have seen Sultan Deen and the other brothers at times, they are, or at least were like 'the forty thieves'.

Cloudland was the most controversial deal they did with Sir Joh, I was at a primary school dance on the last night that it was still around, everyone in there that night suspected something funny was going on like it was going to be knocked down, but they didn't know it for sure. At midnight without any legal action to do so, the Deen Brothers knocked down Cloudland. After that a hilltop housing estate was put in there called 'Cloudland Estate', it even showed a picture of the old Cloudland on it. Years later I went there as a flower delivery driver. Sir Joh wanted to retire on the 8th of the 8th '88 but he was pushed instead, saying that he 'decdided' to retire, it was well before 8/8/88. The thing is he did all of that while the 'unlimited money' from taxpayers paid for all of that and for his political pension even though he was disgraced in the end. Even after retirement the general public are seen as a never ending source of money for ex politicians even for the ones that end up in jail also. Some politicians and cops from the Sir Joh days to now did end up in jail for corruption, sex charges and/or other reasons. As for the more recent Cloudland that has appeared in the Valley, well it is a nightclub but it is not worthy of being called Cloudland.

GeraldTheGnome: As a guy called Clem Jones did before I was even ever born, I would, like him dig it out of my own pocket rather than waste the money of the taxpayers first. Clem Jones was the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, yes even on a federal scale there is a way that the same principles can be applied.

Low yearly incomers complain about taxes, environment and political scandals etc.
Mid incomers complain about taxes,kids schooling,retirement .
High incomers complain about the last meal they just finished, traffic and the luxuries of live.

Without the bottomless money pit,you would not be enjoying your so called 'luxuries or your lifestyle.
