Syria ALL ASSAD (Page 4)
Lora123: WhiteCloud2 says: lora sounds like an israeli mossad resident in montreal one can tell easly her motivations!!
I am an informed person with an opinion... an opinion which is different from yours. Only a bully would believe that that makes me your enemy. The truth is, I have friends in Syria, and I fear for them. Whether you love al-Assad or hate him is not important. Trouble is brewing in your country, and I worry that many innocent people are going to be hurt before this trouble ends.
The_Undertaker JD said: Bashar AlAssad is the only Arabian leader to support resistances in the Arabic world and im not talking about terrorists here ,,, im talking about real resistances
I'm sure al-Assad's free press told you this. But it is not true. Many other Arab nations have been supporting the recent Arab struggles against their dictators. In fact, The United Arab Emirates even sent fighter jets to join Nato air forces in successfully aiding the rebels against Ghadafi in Libya.
Here are a few facts that you might not know about:
Protests have succeeded in toppling dictators in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.
Large, lengthy protests have also occurred in Bahrain, Jordan and Yemen.
Ali Abdullah Saleh, the president-for-life of Yemen, has just indicated that he will soon step down.
Even the mighty Saudis are reacting to protests inside their country. The king has just given women the right to vote in future elections, and he has cancelled a court-imposed sentence of ten lashes given to a woman for being found diving a car.
The Arab world is rapidly changing. Much of this changes has been violent. No one knows what will happen next, but it will probably get much worse before it gets better. My heart goes out to the people caught up in these events, whether they are in Syria or any other nation.
Allah akbah my friends. Allah ma'ak.
nellie77: I have studied Mid-East affairs for the past 15 years. I am not an expert in Syrian Politics’ but have devoted 10 of the 15 years study on Syria. 95% or more, of comments, views & analysis of activities unfolding in Syria are in fact bias & frequently sensationalized. We have now witnessed over five months of unrest in Syria & ironically most articles, & reports continue to press the fact that the President an “Alawite”, & his supporters who are also “Alawites” & are a minority, have controlled Syria since the Late Havez came into power. Tv, social media & online articles as such have dominated headlines with “pro democracy” titles, but somehow ensure we are always reminded of the fact the minority Alawite sect controls a predominately Sunni occupied society. One could legitimately argue that foreign media has in fact portrayed the Syrian unrest due to Peaceful protest motivated by democratic reform. But once again never fail to remain us that the President is of an Islamic minority. I personally am not a patron of any non democratic government but I always remain objective & legitimate with my analysis & views. “My professional analysis of the unrest”
1.President Bashar in fact has over 80% of Syrian population support.
2.80% of supporters consist of, Muslims and Christians.
3.There is a legitimate unit of peaceful protectors that are requesting reform & the government has acknowledged the need to press on such reform
4.These same protectors are unaware of & are not in anyway connected with the Extremist Islamic brotherhood who are attempting to create religiously motivated unrest in Syria by committing violent & brutal crimes in the country against, peaceful protectors & security & army personnel
5.June 17th foreign media reported Mass anti government rallies took place, but opted to use a pro Assad rally photo & short video clip, It’s logical to assume you would use photos & video Clips of the Anti government protest, this means either, the anti government protest didn’t take place or it was to small to broadcast. The answer is, It was to small to broadcast.
6.Over 2 million Christians have pledged support for Assad
7. Over 70% of Muslims have pledge support for Assad
8.All peaceful religious leaders have already engaged with the president in talks & are satisfied with the governments proposed reform
9.The Syrian army is in no way divided nor has any personnel rebellious activity taken place
10.We know this due to numerous army personnel who were announced as part of the deflecting group, hours later contacted Syrian authorities & Syrian media & have conducted live interviews denouncing such reports & reject such claims
11.The Main capitals of Syria are the vital organs of a successful or failed government
12.Every main capital has rejected opposition to the government emphatically & engaged freely in pro Assad protest
13.It is highly unlikely that the government will be ousted
14.Over 5, 000 terror suspects have been of which the vast majority have opening admitted on tv to carrying arms & shooting at both innocent protectors as well as government forces
15. Once the Assad government complete their objective & intall complete peace & security to outer cities Syrians will form stronger bonds
16.The government will develop stronger legitimacy & credibility
17.Syrian government will produce evidence of the causes of the unrest & will do this in time
18.Reforms will be adhered
This is an extract from David Michaels, its a political Forum that Joshua Landis put together after he Titled his Article "What do Sunnis intend for Alawis following regime change?" I found this an excellent read.
Joshua Landis Is a professor Of Okhalhoma and is the director of Middle eastern Studies...

FourWishesGenie: Nellie you actually didnt notice the sarcasm in what i posted, im not sure wether i should laugh or cry cause you actually took it seriously.
And yes both of us clearly support a certain group of people, and a certain opinion.
And professors disagree as much as we do.
So wheres you're point in posting this?
And WHO stated those facts? A pro assad professor.
Sorry this isnt convincing at all.
A president that let his army gun people down, in his own streets is NOT capable of leading a country as a democratic ruler anymore cause he's actually committed a human rights crime.
It doesnt matter how litle taxes people pay, how low the unemployed rate is or whatever.
He guned down protestors..this is not democratical behaviour.
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: @Whitecloud ,, u obviously understood the word "Resistance" wrong ,,, whats happening in Libya isnt resisting ... its rebeling against Alqaddafi' regime .... and AlAssad isnt supporting the rebel there ...
what I meant by Resisting is "resisting the Israeli occupation for lebanon,American occupation for Iraq..Israeli occupation for Palestine etc..." these are what called Arabs Resistance movements ... but whats happening in Libya isnt Resistance ...
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: anyways Neille put the facts for whats happening here in an objective way ,,,, I wouldnt argue anymore so ..we remain on our differences but eventually the will of the Syrians will determine whats going to happen next ..... after 7 months now if really the syrians didnt want AlAssad to be their president he wouldve been gone long time ago .... even if ,, and im just going along with ur assumption ,, even if the army is killing ppl ,, that wouldnt stop the ppl from taking over the state ... look at what happened in Iran in 1979 ,,, eventhough the Iranian army was shooting ppl randomlyin a massive way ...they took over the country in only 3 days and they didnt have any kind of support the protesters in syria are having from the world ,,, they were totally peaceful
and the killing didnt stop them ...
nellie77: show me the proof he gunned down innocent protestors? i have family and friends living in Homs, Lattakia, Banias, Damas and Halab.....
The majority have paricipated in PEACEFUL protests and havn't been shot down. why?
And my previous post is not to convince you, its a fact, this man is not Arab and teaches in Okhalhoma...
I'm enjoying this debate please continue..
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: I know that Nellie we have same point of view here I meant my differences with the others
nellie77: yeah i relised that The under taker! i'm really enjoying this debate, i mean its ok we all have a point of view and its good to see how people think...
Lora123: Nellie, you have reported that you are Australian. Why then do you struggle so to express yourself in English, with it being your native tongue?
I am starting to feel that I am wasting my time here. Very little of what is posted here corresponds with anything which is readily available from multiple, verifiable sources.
Maybe it is time to turn a blind eye to the cruelty which is common in the Arab world, and leave them to their own devices. Living under strong-arm dictators seems to be the only way they are capable of exisiting peacefully. Freedom only seems to give rise to misery among them. Look what is happening in Egypt now. They get rid of Mubarek, and the army casually continues in his wake; rounding up, torturing and crushing any opposition. This seems to be the fate of the Arab. So be it.
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: yeah no one is asking u to blind an eye for whats happening here ,,, just open ur boths eyes and see the crimes and use ur mind ,,,, look at the crimes against the army ,,, open ur eyes and see the officer in the syrian army" nidal " who was slaughtered and stabbed all over,,,, open ur both eyes and see the colonel who was killed with his 2 kids while they were heading back home in Homs .....
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: didnt u hear what the protesters were cheering for in Banyas ? didnt u hear them saying "Alaways muslims are heading to graves and christians are leaving to Beirut" meaning they are going to kill ALawis muslims and they are going to force christians to immigrate to Lebanon
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: tell me what are u going to do for christians when they get slaughtered by extremists and dont tell me they wont ,,, they did in lebanon ,, they did in egypt ,, they did in Iraq and they will in syira ,,, tell me how are u going to help ?? what are u going to do for other minorities ?
nellie77: Lol Lora i think i havn't struggled one bit, actaully i think i make a great spokeswomen for my fellow Aussie friends that are also being brainwashed from the bullshit media that has made its way downunder..
My cousin came to visit from Melbourne, terrified thinking she would be shot down, we drove down to Beirut to bring her to Banias, and she stayed and saw herself what damm crap she has been fed the past 7 months...
You, me the rest of the world will form their own opinions but don't base it on whats happening in Egypt, gosh stop using that as your scapegoat...
WhiteCloud2: yes to evolution no to revolution .. with the collapse of the west people look to the far east and find China as the new global power.. unlike Russia which destroyed itself to mimic the west, China chose a slow evolution path with responsible evolving democracy, and sure systematic economic reforms.. China today is an admired new power
I do hope that the Syrian and other peoples of the world follow such an example ..and solve their own problems without external intervention. Blind religious extremism does not lead any way. The west doesn’t want democracy for Syrians ..they just want to create chaos (as they did in Iraq) so they can steal the Arab oil without resistance. The policy of stealing other countries resources doesn’t work anymore.
The United States has not received nor will receive one drop of oil from Iraq for it's actions there. Please provide any evidence that the US has received or taken oil from Iraq.
WhiteCloud2: It owns Iraq now all the arabian goulf ..my evidence is your your army there , the more than one million Iraqies that you have murdered.. i know that the working american people got nothing out of it ..cuz wall street took it all ..even your homes ..while with the same money the israelies r being given free homes built on Palistinian land..
You are definitely ignorant. The US is pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no legitimate world organizations that believes that 1 million Iraqi non-combatants were 'murdered' by US military forces. That's just silly.
And you realize there is no such thing as Palestinian land...right?
Anything related to what you believe is Palestinian land was once Jordanian (West Bank) and Egyptian (Gaza) which was won by Israel when Egypt and Jordan attacked Israel in 1967.
And another fact, both countries did not take back Gaza nor the West Bank during the peace treaties they signed with Israel, now did they.
Both Jordan and Egypt could have easily 'given' the West Bank and Gaza to the Palestinians during the peace negotiations that both Jordan and Egypt eventually signed, now couldn't they have? Now why is that they didn't?
Just think about that for a minute.
WhiteCloud2: I guess ur a zionest hiding under the american flag.. israel brought the down fall of america.. many of what is called israelies r going back to their original home land , Poland russia and east europe.. americans never learn..they r hiding from the mirror, scared to see their down fall..history will not be kind to them..they r causing trouble all over the world ..its becomming the most hated nation..what the have done to : original people, mexico, hawai, japan, vitnam, korea, afganestan, pakistan, iran, iraq, syria now, lebanon, palistine, egypt, lebia, estern eruope, russia , germany, cuba they even murdered their own people and called it civil war!!!.. people around the world r simpply fed up with ur trash ..why dont u just go an fuck off alll
It's funny that a liberal progressive that is the President of the United States has tried to appease the Arab world. It's just funny!!!! And what happens? You folks see it as a sign of weakness. Well, you got it all wrong silly person. This President has the lowest polling at this time of any President because the PEOPLE of the US see him for what he really is....weak. Now when we vote in a new president, you will see a difference and you 'really' won't like it. WE have just about had enough of your disrespect. You see, the difference between you and us is....WE really do believe in freedom and liberty. You just believe in what? Assad? Hamas? Hezbollah? The idiots in power in Iran? The Muslim Brotherhood? And you think that Israel is bringing down the US? You gotta be kidding. It's the exact opposite. The people of the US can't stand this US administration for disrespecting Israel and getting on our knees to the likes of you so you 'might' like us. This appeasement to the like of you will all end very shortly.
WhiteCloud2: This is the study done by ur own "Johns hopikins university", the number of iraqies murdered by americans in order to steal the arab oil.
Maybe those guys r ignorant!
WhiteCloud2: My advice to u and others in occupied Palestine to get urself a piece of land in Poland.. ur real home.. u know deep inside what will eventually happen.. it’s a matter of time ..as for Obama and other trash American presidents and parties.. those do not govern America ..its the Zionists of wall street.. goldman sachs and others.. working honourable Americans r waking up and demonstrating wall street (the media and banks) throughout America to get their country back.. the time for the likes of u is ending soon.. its not just in America ..its all over the world..
XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: so u think US is a sample of democracy @ dave ,,, tell when did ever a president or a congress man ever won and he wasnt a memeber of either the 2 parties u have ?? its like a dictatorship but instead one party's ruling ,, 2 parties ......
ur president Obama came to Egypt and said a new page has to be iopened with the Islamic world
and now what has he done to acknowledge the palestinian right of a state ?
what has he done to stop the Israelis buidling residents in Alaqsa ?
he came and fooled the world with his smooth talking and black color of skin ....
those who u are calling "Idiots" in Iran have made US down to it knees .... any goverment that opposes u ,,, u call them idiots and terrorists ,,, while u are the 1# terrorists in the whole world ....wasnt USA who created Taliban and Alqaeda feed them with weapons back in 80s ?
but then again its going no where to argue with u cause this is getting no where
